A possible addtion for veterans

recently i was talking in the mourningstar and a guy mentioned the idea of using pistols with melee weapons on the vet and i love the idea where right click fires your weapon in your left hand and your left click could function like the normal melee where tapping does a light and holding charges a heavy with than the power attack would be the melee weapon bash and hell it could be made into a trait to replace say like susatined fire or camo expert or something or perhaps a earlier one like sniper maybe which can be useful but often at least in my experience isnt really because you end up needing to deal with enemies close up so often and it takes the place of demolition stockpile which would allow you to more easily deal with hordes before they get to ya while using weapons that would benefit from sniper.

They have already done such a kit in Vt1 and 2 (In 1: Has an ammo system and deal more damage, in 2 doesn’t have an ammo counter but deal less damages).

In the same system, if it’s in the melee slot, it need a melee attack pattern, a block (With push attack), and then put the ranged attack on the special action

hey man i love that :smiley: honestly i just want to make the full commissar build a reality and need it in my life and given they brought over the chaos spawn which is fun as sh*t, i would so love to see this come next! :smiley:

i will say that i do hope that they make it a powersword and laspistol also with perhaps where it cant do a powered light attack as it only charges up while heavy attacking and perhaps could even only do a powered attack on full charged heavies as a balancing feature.

There is still an action economy that currently is at 3 actions for the melee weapons (Except the Force Swords), and 4 for the ranged (Reload)

So you kinda, atm, have to keep to those 3/4 actions, where on the melee weapon you have to have a block actions.
If melee slot

  • Action 1: Melee attacks, can be held for heavy attacks
  • Action 2: Block
    β†’ Action 1 to do push attacks
  • Special action/Action 3: Something that is inherent to the weapon, eg:
    β†’ Ranged weapon aim
    β†’ Power Sword activation
    β†’ Other
  • Reload action

While if ranged slot:

  • Action 1: Melee attacks, can be held for heavy attacks
  • Action 2: Can be ADS or shooting
    β†’ IF ADS then Action 1 would become shooting
  • Special action/Action 3: Something that is inherent to the weapon, eg:
    β†’ Ranged weapon aim
    β†’ Power Sword activation
    β†’ Other
  • Reload action

If it’s in the ranged slot you could make it possible to have a ranged weapon with an active able melee weapon
