Hi, so, currently, weapons of same type, for example lasguns, are differentiated by their name and style. For example, “Mark II” will always look like a Mark II.
I think it may be interesting to have some randomness on the weapon’s attachements.
For example, have Mark II lasguns that have a chance to either have a flashlight, or a bayonet.
It would be great to let the user choose the sight too.
A game that does this well is Necromunda: Hired Gun. Perhaps Darktide could learn a little from other games regarding gun customization.
The current system isn’t completely bad either, it’s just that, since customization is pushed forward so much, it is extremely weird to hear and see that, the only customizable parts are the cosmetics of your character, instead of its weapons which would have a much more significant gameplay impact.
