60fps frame cap on inventory/skill/store screens causes flickering when AMD Freesync is enabled

Issue Type (Required):

Visual

Issue Description (Required):

AMD Freesync is a free version of Nvidia G-Sync and matches the refresh rate of the monitor to the rate at which it receives new frames from the GPU to eliminate screen tearing. It has an issue where unsteady framerates in the 60fps range cause rapid brightness changes resulting in a flickering image.

I reported something similar a while back, the issue then was my GPU was understrength and had trouble maintaining a steady 60fps. However I have the opposite problem today, I have a whole new computer and a new GPU that is capable of rendering at >120fps. Darktide still causes the flickering issue because it limits fps to 60 in menus and cutscenes.

While the Freesync bug is out of the developers control, it would be possible to eliminate this issue for Freesync users by raising or allowing us to change the frame cap for menus and the like. For instance increasing the fps cap from 60 to 90 would solve this issue.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Play darktide using a relatively strong GPU and a Freesync enabled monitor. During cutscenes and on all menu screens (inventory, store, talents, melks etc) the game will drop the frame cap to 60fps down from whatever it was before, this causes the background brightess to flicker rapidly.

The flickering does not occur at fps above or below 60, however the player cannot control this during menus, the video settings only apply to the lobby and mission gameplay.
