I had 1 interesting weapon in Melk’s since the patch changing the shops 5-6 weeks ago ?
The whole items system is garbage but they stuck to it even if it kills their game.

They probably have a manager who read something akin to “maintaining a controlled level of frustration for your players allows to keep retention and participation at high level in your product”.

Except it has come close to and may still kill their player base for good as there is nothing controlled about the low odds gambling nature of their crap.

I’m more baffled by the fact that they gave Vet another powersword.

hm its alright I cant keep my alt up properly when I’m clearing shooters once they take cover I get a partial hit and loose the chain… but everyone’s been saying they are sick of vet hogging the limelight so I’m happy enough to let someone else get in there and do it now.

I’m just enjoying staggering big guys killing specialists etc protecting team mates in a different way. You can tell sometimes the people your playing with have got used to just waiting for you to delete all the shooters in 60 seconds and when you don’t they are not sure what to do for a moment or two.

Your right right though, that would be cool the slug shotgun only, its really satisfying and I spend most of my time with it just reloading a fresh slug the “thump” :slight_smile: as you shoot a trapper is really satisfying.

Try it its fun take power sword for back up though since you rely on your group not being total a$$ more if you use it.

With the slug, one body shot:

  • Bomber (+Flak)
  • Scab Sniper

Seems to be very good, considering you just preload the special round, then you can cleanly and quickly kill any special.

How is it terrible? The sword stays charged indefinitely on heavy attacks without needing to block cancel. I see way too many vets charge the sword, light attack twice, repeat, and that’s so much less efficient than just using this sword how I described.

I was just going to open a new thread when I saw this.

I just kind of don’t care anymore. There’s so many weapon variants now (no, FS, they’re not new weapons, they’re variants of the same core weapon set), each with their own insane RNG grind, that I just don’t care about building them up or changing blessings or whatever. I just get a weapon and use it as-is.

Like, just load me straight from one mission into the next. There’s no reason for me to ever visit the hub now.

Maybe they are putting this in as a re action to all the power sword op posts.

If you test it you’ll see its a slightly watered down version. Swing pattern is less effective than the original, the swings are more diagonal than horizontal, but you seem to move a bit faster when your using it…

Let people test it out then nerf the original maybe who knows. Once its been in for a while I’m sure someone will test it more thoroughly. It’s still a power sword and it still cleaves the trash mobs well but not as strong against armoured maybe something like that I expect.

I tried it out in the training room for a little while swing pattern reminded me of the combat axe a bit.

This is a bug I reported it and they checked it. It’ll get hot fixed.

Me too - and for at least 2/3 of my gametime. So they managed to create a worse version of Diablo…

Except few unique T4 blessings which actually introduce a new effect, you aren’t missing out on content, or need T4s to make a weapon good. “too much RNG” must be the most popular critique just after poor frames per second, stability, bugs and lack of classes/maps.

Sure, but if I want to test it against other weapons unless I can get similar modifiers, perks, and blessings, it isn’t a true test. I can get a basic feel for the weapon, but that’s not what I am looking for if I want thorough testing to see if I reliably bring it into damnation or want to theory craft in any way with combos and break points. That’s what excites me, personally, for new weapons. And the crafting just makes me pull my hair so I just go to the other games I got during the spring sale for now.

What I would like for testing is the equivalent of the VT2 blacksmith items. Red equivalent is second to that.

Well I definitely enjoyed that hidden potential after wasting other 500k dockets to get new force sword that is not absolute garbage.
Got to say I was surprised it only took 5 bricked ones before I got one that’s good.

Yeah this would work too. You want a “baseline” where weapon 1 and weapon 2 are the exact same in “power level”. Same modifiers, same mod distribution, and no perks or blessings to throw off your testing. Maybe like guaranteed 300 mods with specific mod distribution.

Or you know, just remove the locks…

Locks are more of a problem for other things, the same numbers are required to get to see the effect.

One has to admit that this time FS has provided a lot of numerical information on items - it’s just that a lot of it is useless due to inability to compare them.

No no, what we need is something like “machine Spirit harmonization” where hadron sets all weapon modifiers to same , for example 350 weapon with 70 spread and 380 with 76 spread. Make it a diamantine sink at 300-400 that also rerolls all perks and blessings so Ranald design intent be pleased.

Remove locks and let us refine base stats on weapons.
