The saga of nerf forum rage is slightly longer than the last few months. You should be happy I haven’t references some other pub rage incidents, such as the power sword nerf. It literally included, otherwise fairly composed Darktide “influencer” recording and uploading to Youtube a massive angry rant about how the forum dwellers nerfed his Power Sword. Meanwhile Power Sword in June 2024…

As I said before, I do understand why people didn’t like it and why some would be happy to see it gone.
I was just trying to say I think downplaying this change as basically a bug fix is a bit much, considering what they’ve said about it before and how long it’s been in the game.

Nah, all good. All I’m saying is that the game is changing all the time, and this isn’t the first time or last. Just like any other game. I’m sure sooner or later Fatshark is going to changing something I enjoy also, but then I like variety so even if they managed to totally “break” some weapon or build, there is plenty more to choose from.

After having played a bunch of games auric maelstroms, I can easily say that zealot is still as strong as always.
These nerfs just feel meh, it’s not like zealots power went down it’s more like their variety went down.
Momentum is still easily the strongest keystone, the weapons that performed the best still perform the best and zealot still performs the same, we just no longer have Chorus/FotF spam with crit and FotF ranged weapon mag dumping.
And the punishment nerf has made it go from situational node you could pick to a simple tax node for getting blazing piety.

Yet they’re still the strongest class in the game, and keep in mind that certain weapons (ie. Knife, Revolver) are overpowered on their own, so Zealot is just adding the sweet icing on the cake.
