i mean they are identical to do
Not gonna even bother putting details, but had a guy stealing all the resource crates and tossing them down at the worst times, when it was pointed out it was a waste, he just started voice spamming slurs at everyone then finished the map saying it was such an easy carry. He was like…level 20 something in a damnation.
It was probably the same guy! ![]()
T5 normal has become call of duty Vet autogun fest now.
To the point they run away from crushers or attempt to train them onto you to pull aggro away from themselves.
I was in a group with 3x Vets and I thought this should be fun. They moaned at eachother over ammo constantly. Soon as they run dry, that’s it they simply give up and blame the game.
I think the problem is that new players have become too dependent on ammo to the point they forego the deeper mechanics of evasion, slide, push, blocking and positioning and they simply stand in the back and point to shoot standing completely still or trying to shoot in melee range in panic.
This is literally the T5 event experience. Just saw a vet with 25~ hours doing that.
Meanwhile the Recon Lasgun Veteran soloing a whole Crusher Pack:
(It’s me, I’m that Recon Lasgun Vet. I believe in Lasgun Supremacy. I’m just better.)
Nah, he is using non-crit build with fire team aura and damage nodes instead of rending ![]()
Even better, he’s actually using his Melee Weapon! ![]()
I thought I have seen it all…
Just came across a Zealot playing as a Vet. Basically he was playing at range with autogun always, never using melee but if he uses stealth, standing still doing so, waits for aggro goes to team mates. Then he carries on with his shooting some pointless mobs far away. Saw him do it 3 times.
Probably like camo vet people disliked before and decided to mimic it into his improved version.
What a real joker.
Rest in peace that spec. So awful to play alongside.
I’ll stand by Infiltrate (the vet stealth ult) being solid. It at least staggers enemies as you break stealth, which should give teammates a moment to react if you’re using it around them. It’s great on very offensive builds, where you’re generally ahead of the rest of your team anyway, for closing in on ranged enemies and getting behind bulwarks and such. It definitely has its place, but obviously people can use it stupidly.
Shroudfield on the other hand I think is probably the most useless ult in the whole game right now. It has none of the benefits of Infiltrate at all and doesn’t really provide the same utility. The backstab bonus is alright, but it’s not good enough to justify taking over the other ults, in my opinion, and the extended active upgrade still keeps it pretty useless, especially considering it lacks the veterans threat reduction factor. You just end up aggro dumping your teammates first and then yourself as you exit stealth. It doesn’t really have a pronounced function anymore now that the TH was nerfed in the boss damage department.
Yeah I think the only reason this isn’t as obvious as it should be is because zealot has some insane CDR nodes. With them, you can still do pretty funny stuff shroudfield sometimes, with the right weapons.
I’d generally like to see the overreliance on CDR nodes on zealot addressed somehow, and then maybe the ults rebalanced around it.
It’s a pretty flexible ability. Speccing into the toughness damage reduction node (and not the threat reduction node) lets you use it in a ton of different ways, from repositioning, to dumping it for an instant toughness refill, to using it like a janky AoE zealot charge stumble/interrupt wise, to using it to tank, to still using it for stealth for objectives/revives, etc.
It’s a way more interesting ability to use than VoC. VoC puts me to sleep with how boring it is.
From a game design perspective, it is pretty interesting how bad Vet’s VoC feels compared to Kruber merc shout, despite being tuned to be far stronger and more frequently usable.
Goes to show how balancing something to be too good with too much uptime and utility can make it feel less special
Current meta has kinda made me put off playing Duelingswordtide in favor of more time on Vermintide 2 and Helldivers 2.
I’m kind of thankful for it in retrospect. ![]()
We competent Psykers were forged in the fire known as “3 Camo Vets 1 Psyker”! ![]()
tbh i don’t bother enough with such cases. if someone is obnoxious enough, i block the dude and go on.
but generally, i’m fed up with unreflecting people. one can forgive newbies , but seeing players with true levels in the hundreds making the same mistakes makes one wonder if they’re even trying to learn.
in the title it says worst darktide experience, so i will do one of those…
trying to play the game. I keep getting memory errors even though i have plenty of ram. I have tried fix after fix recommend by the devs, and it still won’t work
I should not have to deal with this for a brand new game, im about to refund.
minor rant, sorry
There was a small resurgence of bait style players in havoc recently.
Players who dont follow the unspoken agreement of “1 charge per person and priority based on health left+class” are the actual scum of the Earth.
