[Workaround found !] Random crash mid mission, not seem related to GPU or memory lack- 3/4 games

I made an account here just to thank you. I have been playing with one core due to the crashing issues but so far this workaround seems to be working. Set both NVIDIA and in-game frame cap to 60 and have not crashed since then. I will report back if anything changes.

Glad it worked !
So far i’m still able to play near normally whitout crash !

i understand but as you said “anyone with an ounce of tech knowledge”, most of the people do not have this knowledge and just follow the better relayed infos.
Also before 1.0.14 update, a real FPS improvement was observed with this modification.

As i said i reverted the .ini back to normal, since it didn’t improve a thing for my case following the latest patch, it did not change a thing regarding the game motor keeping having frame panic not recovered at higher value than 60 FPS.

i understand your frustration, but not sure the message with be really seen here… i also thinks that some pinned message can be revelant. however, following the lot of bugs encountered by the games there is a lot of pinned topics, not sure that people check them all.

That’s the point I’m trying to make, this was BAD info that went viral. If you looked deeper in the threads and later you’d see this info was debunked.
OFC that’s a lot to do, and you shouldn’t HAVE to, but it is what it is.

For instance the bad info YOU repeated, that the dev replied to in your post here is still up and unedited. If someone glances at the thread, this bad may get propagated, again, and misinform other as it did you. That steam dude and it’s reddit counterparts are just after internet points, they did NOTHING to stop spreading the bad info once it was debunked, you still can.

Moral of the story, assume 50% of the info on Steam and Reddit is bad, and maybe consider not propagating it.
