Hmmmmmmm

As for rushing ahead, I don’t think that’s always the case. Some people are just very slow… you gotta pace your self. There’s a least one person every few runs who stops moving for hordes, or even run backwards through the map to get to the horde faster when they spawn behind.

Just keep moving forward. If it’s just a horde with no boss, you don’t need all 4 people on it. Two of you can split off and get the grim or tome if it’s close enough.

During the beta, hordes were very tanky. This was fixed somewhat towards the end. I just don’t like the idea of horde mobs having that much HP. I did like that elites and zerkers spawnes in hordes now. I’d rather seem more elites in a horde than more HP.

We’ll just have to wait and see what changes they’ve made

Sure being super paranoid about a game that hasn’t even released yet is a little bit off putting (but i can totally understand why some feel this way) however being total fanboy and ignoring all the relevant criticism is the extreme opposite what we need right now.

Is the current live legend ā€œanti coopā€ i guess if you are good enough currently you can mostly solo it so yes i agree to some extend. However were the early legend/cata builds absolutely stupid on the beta? Yes, yes they were and people really need to see this. It has nothing to do with people being ā€œego centricā€ it was literally just level of spongy enemies that took way too long to die even for the most powerful single target weapons in the game.

Still waiting for release to make any glaring judgement’s on the actual gameplay because they have said they did take feedback into consideration but if its even remotely close to what we had in the last beta i’m not really surprised if people feel cheated out of their gameplay.

Don’t judge

Oh I’m not. It’s none of my business anyway :joy: if anything I need to him/her to give me some pointers so I can step my game up.

Back on topic, since the game is releasing ā€œearly Augustā€ I guess my orignal question is pointless now. No time for another beta. Hopefully I can still get an answer on the rest though.

I think they will need a little more time… I don’t think we will see WoM before 15/20 august

They could release it a 2am August the 31st and still claim it was ā€œEarly in Augustā€

cue community screeching

I hope we get a release around the 20th, with a BBB MkII first week of September.

 ā€œWe have altered the deal, pray we do not alter it any furtherā€

They already kinda shot themselves in the leg with the ā€œearly augustā€ would be really surprised now if its not released before 19th. Then again my first guess was late august so guess anything can happen with fatshark.

I shall enlighten you on this topic of rushing.

When I for example play QP, I will do just this, I will run forward killing stuff, pick up a tome and if team wants grims than they can take them, no problem for me.

Reason for that is that the difficulty is too easy. And I’m not going to sit in one spot killing horde for 2-3 minutes when I can move just fine. And doing one run for 30 minutes instead of 15. It has absolutely nothing to do with the green circles & ego bullsh-t you are mentioning.

I don’t get this at all (again), why would they do this, basically tell community they will release early August.

1st, there was so much stuff that needed fixing …
2nd, if they now don’t release ā€œearly Augustā€ people will start getting pissed, I can already see that.

To me early august sounds like any date before the 11th august…not 19th
I hope they release it ASAP, they aknowledge it will need some extra tweaks so we should be fine anyways !

To do something nice for all the people who are excited for the release (as well as they are I presume) since they already know the release date but can’t announce it. Besides, people are always pissed no matter what. They are pissed even now because FS still didn’t announce the date and whatnot.

maybe early is morning, so an August morning

This is so true. I freaking hate it when players just stagnate into place because something appears on the screen. And hunting for green circles is basically just trying to o be efficient and time saving. Me and my team usually did runs on Fort Brachenbrucke in around 10-12 minute on legend with full tomes and grims. Why? Because we didn’t sit around lollygagging during our run. And besides. We actually egg each other on to see which one gets on top. Because if we are all hunting for those stupid circles. The run goes so much faster.

So you are completely right about that Flisker.

I don’t ā€œhateā€ them, as I have a level that is above them (most people are not really experienced in legend so you can’t really hate them as once, you were like them), but it’s more that the game gets ā€œeasierā€ if you rush it, as there’s less attrition overall (of healing stuff or ammo).

I think that the reason why they don’t announce release date is that they are not agreed on price tag or maybe they’re simply preparing ad campaign for DLC.

Or maybe they don’t want to launch it with completely broken cleave and stagger not working and lots of talents straight up broken… oh wait…

I fukking hate it when people rush and I don’t care about the circles. I like slower games because I enjoy the play itself.

What do you enjoy?

Then you go do that.
Personally I don’t see the charm of taking over 30 minutes to play just one round because people are just slow and inefficient. Maybe the first 2-3 runs on a new map you take it abit slower to take in the scenery and look for tomes and grims but after that it’s just a waste of time. Better to just do it quickly as to push yourself and see how hard you can push. Naturally this could be done in cataclysm during the beta aswell. You just needed the correct setup and the know-how. Also I get the idea about not caring about the circles but you can see it this way too. Not caring for those circles only proves you don’t care about your performance which mean someone like me is going to have to carry you. Not that I mind it that much but it’s just how I see it. And honestly most people I get in my games don’t care about the fast pace. Most actually like it since we do runs quickly and with th greatest of ease.
Hopefully Cataclysm will be different.
Me and my team always keep a very high pace which we have noticed always punishes any ā€œrandomā€ player we have joining us if we are not 4. Most of them just think ā€œOMG that was so quick can we do more?ā€ Which is always fun to hear.

I’ve personally always been someone who adapts to the groups running speed rather than trying to keep my own pace since i know good portion cant keep up with it. To me if the run takes 15 or 30 mins is really irrelevant as long as it gets done instead of getting some idiotic wipe due to massive splitting.

Some game devs really love to make an argument for the 2nd week of the month hence the 19th is the absolute back-line for me what i consider ā€œearly monthā€.
Then again as early as this week would now make sense to have some open beta period before the final launch on next week to fix the absolute critical issues but i guess we’ll see.

Can you run faster than horde with your setup? I can’t. When someone can run its becouse my FK is hitting in the back. Sorry, but I can’t walk and hit with 2h hammer.
