The game files for a double-barrel shotgun apparently got leaked. There were others, allegedly, but the double-barrel shotgun is the only ranged one I explicitly remember. Someone else on the forums might remember them all.
If I recall didn’t FatShark put out a teaser where there was a giant one of those Nurgle guys in that last image? Maybe we fight him in the arena.
We’re getting our Pre-Patch #13-level brokenness back with this one!!!
Where are these leaked weapons you speak of?
So we had a fair few:
Beta: 2h Force Sword, 2h Power Sword, 2h Chain Axe, Meltagun, Longlas, 1h Shock Mace.
Via weapon customisation mod: 2 barrel Shotgun
2 handed Power sword and Bolt pistol were also found through weapona customization
I named it in the beta stuff.
Power Sword and Force Sword also have models that can be found/used by said mod

All of the essentials, of course
What I think we’ll be getting:
- New weapon(s)
- New modifier(s)
- More balance changes to existing weapons and blessings
While the above is all well and fine and I’ll be happy with that, what I hope we’ll be getting now or later:
- New pet class, specializing in mines, turrets
- New psyker staves, specifically a sniper staff specializing in high single target damage. Psykers have no real anti-elite / anti-boss staves, and haven’t gotten a single primary weapon since release (yee the game calls them secondaries but they’re primaries :> ). Since the overhaul + Illisi we now have plenty of ways to deal with horde so we should and could get the same options other classes do in terms of using ranged for anti-elite/boss and melee / utility for horde.
- New enemies! Specifically something horrible and unhuman, from Genestealers to other far more weird Tyrannid critters
- Story progression
- In-mission emotes and expanded tagging radial with things like “help!”, “group up!”, “you’re welcome”, and ofc a way to praise your teammates :>
- New missions with more diverse biomes. Maps set in orbital stations, in other worlds accessible via portals, undiscovered caverns beneath the city, luxury areas within the city, open nature etc.
- Expanded crafting. I’d like to imagine something like this: Completing all weeklies earns 1 special token that could temporarily reroll a locked perk/blessing. This would give the players a ton of extra agency regarding the gearing, while also providing what Fatshark needs: increased player engagement without overtly trivializing the RNG the game depends on. It could even be further adjusted with things like limiting it to 1 token per account instead of character, requiring 2+ tokens to reroll, or limiting rerolls to 1-2 times per gear only.
Edit: Forgot a few things!
- More interesting facial & hair options than just the 1-2 we have now
- More unique character cosmetics, stuff like robes, battle dresses and other flowing beautiful clothing! Also more unique weapon cosmetics.
- A new T6 difficulty with even more mobs with more health and damage >:)
Speculation thread? I will chime in. My predictions:
→ New max difficulty level and subsequently…
—> New max level 35
—> New max base level for curios 100
—> New max base level for weapons 440
—> Red Items now unlockable / craftable / discoverable
→ First real boss fight with phases inspired by VT2 Boss Design
Additional hopes:
→ Traitor Captain gets beefed up
→ New archetype unveiled to be released or released
A Level 35 cap will give us the oppurtunity to utilise the skill tree even further. A worthwhile cause.
God please no further power creep. The game is getting easier with each patch already.
New missions, new weapons, bugfixes, crafting overhaul in that order please.
Hm? For a Tier-6 difficulty on Auric Maelstrom we finna be needing the extra points.
Nah we good. I need a challenge other than getting matchmade with 3 xbox players. If they really introduce a Tier 6 it should be staggeringly hard. Auric Damnation is already a massive joke
ah sh*t, I was hoping they were going to use the levelling system to add the story, more cutscenes every 5 levels to bring more to the game, but I guess they cant do that now the leveling is tied to skill tree points.
I guess they could just make it so you don’t get anymore points past level 30 though humm
I suppose. I’d prefer a continuation of the story over the new points.
