Why were weapons renamed, exactly?

Family names are : braced autoguns, infantry autoguns, combat axe, tactical axe…

As you can see in the patch notes, they changed names of the weapons… this is not me that says it, this is them in their patch notes.

And none of these changes makes sense. Sorry.

Who can explain why this change?
Lucius Mk I Helbore Lasgun > Lucius Mk IIIa Helbore Lasgun
We had a MKIII, why they made it a MKIV, the MKII a MKV and the MKI a MKIIIa??

Or this one: Rashad Mk II Combat Axe > Rashad Mk III Combat Axe
What changing II to III has made it more “comprehensive”?

And these ones:
Indignatus Mk III Shock Maul > Munitorum Mk III Shock Maul
Munitorum Mk III Power Sword > Scandar Mk III Power Sword
Munitorum Mk VI Power Sword > Achlys Mk VI Power Sword
Columnus Mk V Infantry Autogun > Vraks Mk V Infantry Autogun
Graia Mk VIII Infantry Autogun > Columnus Mk VIII Infantry Autogun

How changing the manufacturer can help to understand the new system???
