Endless hordes event was actually fun, why take it away? If anything remove waves of dogs and mutants because I’m fairly certain no one actually likes that.
I was wondering the same, but the recent Havoc announcement cleared it up:
They’re probably going to recycle them in Havoc. Not what I wanted, I want quickplay to have more variety, but I’m guessing this is the big plan behind removing those modifiers again.
Thats nice, just hope its not only in havoc mode. Cause that would be really silly.
Yea I missed out on endless waves and am not curious why it isn’t part of a modifier rotation.
I like the waves especially when they come at a bad time and the whole team starts to panic.
There was this modifier??? Where? When?
It was an event from Sep 26 - Oct 10. New modifier that had “new” mobs.
That was “Unrelenting Hordes” with the Infected 21st.
I think that was confirmed to be in Havoc.
I think it will be, I don’t see why they’d remove them in the first place otherwise.

My theory is technical debt and design limitations with the mission selection system, especially if it is expected to have Hi-int and Low-int and combination conditions with every new condition they introduce. It just leads to a bigger and bigger pool their RNG has to handle meaning people would see them less and less. I mean, they couldn’t even maintain a weekly rotation of a condition like they initially had at release for more than 6 months, where 5 of those months it was stuck on Hunting Grounds.
Why did the weekly modifier have to be manually changed? Why not have a scheduler where you can load on several weeks’ worth of conditions? Have mulitple (2 or 3) major conditions rotate in and out?
adding 2 dedicated more mission slots in the mission board to accommodate the special event conditions in a permanent way would be cool.
but the thing is that mission board needs a total complete overhaul, or adding all maps available in the game permanently with no rotation. the malus may be that then playerbase may be split even if i don’t think it wouldn’t happen with a rework + adding a mandatory lobby browser just like vt2.
Seriously, I know that I often point that things are easy… But… As solo that can be fixed by changing a number (allowing private games without having to be 2), this also can be allowed without hurting the player base.
They could allow us, in the new feature they added to find a party, to launch any mission with any modifier.
They should then modify quickplay to allow to join any running mission.
But BOTH (solo and this change) have to be implemented at the same time. At least, the mission selection should come after the solo implementation.
I would hate to not be able to go solo (even if I use a mod for this and that it should be allowed for all). This is really faster and easier to complete penances in solo (like that you don’t have players that ruin your efforts).
