Why is the new class paid DLC?

12$ would be fair if it wasn’t for how expensive cosmetics are.
I know It’s my problem, but I thought cosmetics were expensive because ALL the updates were going to be free.
If it wasn’t to support free content, then why is all the crap on the store so expensive?

On the Release /re-Release they said that they had a couple of thousands 8i think over 2k) Voicelines. Wherea re all the Voicelines??
Certainly we diddnt hear over 2k Voicelines already…

For 12 Bucks i expect the same as in V2 where you get the Character plus extra Cosmetics Pack like they did for all the Careers

Because continuous development of a video game requires developers be paid. Creating a new class requires lots of time and resources

I wonder how Ghostship Games is still in business considering they added tons of weapons, biomes and seasonal events for free. They must all be volunteers right?

I don’t mind if it’s paid dlc, it’s the cost that worries me.

4x skins, one for each class, is more expensive than the main game.

So your probably looking at something between £20-£30, for something worth £10.

I could be wrong, but greed is something I associate with FatShark.

In patch 1.0.14, we removed the timer from The Commodore’s Vestures, where players could purchase premium cosmetics via Aquila packs. Our plan for the shop is to give players more time between rotation periods until we reach three screens worth of cosmetic bundles. The timer will remain inactive until the first page is due to be rotated out with 24 hours remaining. It’s important to note that the store is on rotation to give players some variety while at the same time not creating clutter. We feel that unlimited store pages are likely to create confusion and a bad user experience. Rest assured, the cosmetics are not gone forever and will likely reappear.

No idea. Government subsidies, operating at a loss to expand their brand reach, I don’t know.

I pay for the cosmetics and content I like. I don’t have access to Fatshark’s accounting books, I don’t know how much revenue FS brings in off of cosmetics, I don’t know how much of that is profit.

I don’t stress about how much corporations make because of that, I just go off of how the prices of the cosmetics/content compare to other games. If it’s good, I buy if it’s not I don’t. Simple as that.

This DLC should cost 20$ 12 is like a steal bro game is getting more content, sure takes time, but realistically game was finished with itemization rework… Now FS can focus on adding more classes. Well hopefully they will add more classes after this one
