Why i keep quitting playing this game

Im going to at some point. im giving fatshark time to do what they want with the game. with all they are planning this year i dont think they have a stat board on their radar at this moment in time

I mean, do as you want.
but that’s not how a backlog works, the timing of your feedback rather irrelevant.
Feedback is evaluated independently and assigned, priority is gauged by amount and community talking points either by direct interaction observation or prediction.

it’s not like there will be an open spot on the calendar for them to work on individual request, it all gets put into the backlog until it lands on their desks ^^

This is the punishment for choosing console over PC!

change perspective - you come back to the game until some things start to bother you again and make you quit pause again

Some pretty valid UX complaints here, but I’m glad you keep coming back

Dehumanizing someone for having an opinion on a forum.

Post got deleted. What happened here?

he had a colorful mind, voicing is disagreement.

not that big o deal

Sport is a competitive (pvp) enviroment. Sure, members of a team cooperate with each other, but entire context is to win. To be better. COMPETITION.

This example isn’t accurate imo.

When a group of firefighters try to take out a fire, they don’t compete with each other, who takes out more fire, or who used more water when doing so, nor are they individually evaluated based on their personal performance. (this is PVE basically)

When nurses take care of old/disabled people, they dont compete which one wiped more of their asses clean.

In a mall, saleswoman is not evaluated for how many products she sells. Her outcome (success) is based on lots of factors that she cannot influence.

All of these people don’t compete, they cooperate to achieve same goals. Its very much different from sport competition, therefor your simile to darktide is false.

No, its literally not.

So, rushing forward solo, absolutely ignoring your team, and teamplay concept of this game as whole, and rage quitting once you get killed alone, or trapped, because you risk not getting highest score at the end of the mission, is considered ‘‘doing a good job/not being dead weight/applying yourself’’?

First i thought you are a pro strawman. Now i think you are just delusional.

It is absolutely egoistic behavior to its core, promoted by competition that scoreboard tends to attract.

A painter also doesnt need to know how much paint he used, how long it took him/her to paint something. You don’t need someone to judge you based on how they think you performed.

Nice contradiction of yourself.

So which is it?

Actually no, let me tell you. It is none. Performance is not measured everywhere in life, and you can’t provide any source of data, that would objectively support your claim that it ‘‘works’’ in most aspects of life.

You are just another Kerilian rushing all by herself, wanting to get green circle, and then be able to throw it to the face of people you deem inferior because they couldn’t compete with your end game stats or didn’t meet your pesonal expectations.

Figuratively speaking ofc.

there’s an interesting concept called “the peter principle” which establishes the hypothesis that in hierarchical structures, i.e. something like companies,… That performance matters to a certain point, but once that point is reached, a paradigm switch is happening, resulting in the least competent and productive people climbing the ladders.
it’s very interesting, actually.

IMO, the points you’re raising would be much more concrete if you didn’t went personal, especially for a claim that you have no proof of either.

I got fired from my previous job, because my personal opinions about certain political matters (pandemic/war/LGBTQI) didn’t quite match the expectations of my former employers, even though my individual performance met requirements of company’s standarts.

Your stats can be pro, but if you don’t meet certain requirements, you are always replaceable.

Honestly i don’t think it matters. Im not trying to convince the entire world about what i try to imply. Just expessing counter argument to a specific individual.

good post, i’m with you in all aspects!

the difficulty for most here and in gaming in general is, they think competetive in all or almost all ways and for gaming especially.
There are less games in history that are purely cooperative and so many people seem to struggle to let the competetive thinking go for a pure coop experience.

If the team wins the mission, it absoluteley doesnt matter who, what, how much etc.
but we lack players and human thinking truly cooperatively in general.
There is still a misbelief that competition drives the world and make things develop into better, but if you engage into this topic more erious and scientifically you will learn that without cooperation most animals and humans wouldnt be able to do anything leave alone evolutionary development.

edit:
a very simple proof is this: Play with randoms and in 7/10 games there is people who dont play very cooperatively and look for their teammates. You have to keep up or you f’d everyone up.
If a team cares for their weakest link, the shorn lamb and stick together, help each other they are propably successfull, but even if not, the experience is mostly better and make you feel you played as a team rather than a sour win beeing upset you had to carry others - except you are that type of person patting yourself on the back, look in the mirror and wonder everytime how awesome and above all others you are

But then play with friends, feel a bond (that you are maybe unable to create with a rando) and feel as a team member and not someone solo competing with your team for highscores.

mot of you know, i was against the scoreboard, then used it, was even pro about it and now i’m neutral and would accept it as an option, because the thing is this.
Have it or not (mod already exists anyway) you wont change peoples aproach and mindest on this.

Bad times for real coop players without friends playing this or like it more to create bonds with randos all time and see how good the team can be and not a single character.

It’s what make me pause the game often, because i rarely meat a good cooperative team and end up chasing up after others trying only not to die and kill some stuff.
