I also run unmodded. I did use truesolo but I only put that one when I use it, which isnt often. Otherwise its vanilla all the way!
Gotta admit Im tempted to get a scoreboard mod so I can keep track of how Im doing.

I would really like to hear an official statement from FatShark why the game was censored 2 years after the release for all Platforms in Germany, Austria and Japan.
I can image it has something to do with local policies, but 2 years after a release is like betrayal to people from these regions.
“Back in my days” we used to buy a copy of a game from another region to get an uncensored version, I don’t buy games if I know that they are censored in my region.

thats the thing, the “older” i get i fear i need to put everything in NOW for i dont know how long i can keep up my current level of performance.
in all things i love, i do them feverishly, to the extreme, giving it all i got or none at all.
so far darktide was my quake past my prime and fired neurons that lay dormant for good 10 years.
couple years from now i gonna be 50, what will i do to retain said reflexes?
love my channel like any 20 year old showing off his 1337 skills and if i had a time machine i’d go full time streaming 24 years younger.
but it aint a wishing well.
so times ticking away and every day i can show for a couple great matches i’m so glad i “still got it”
for medical reasons next year gonna get rough so i fear i’ll not be able to uphold my standards or upload my stuff the way it fullfills me.
time gets precious beyond measure. having this valuable time sabotaged hits twice as hard.
this, no matter the price no matter the effort i WILL play it uncensored.
like mr house in new vegas having multiple couriers, back in the day i ordered 3 copies of half life in 98 of which 2 made it past customs and border control.
got the original box at the attic of my parents house somewhere still.
so this hatred and resistance to anything censorship will, like charleton heston put it, end only with my cold dead hands.

If you go to your settings and manualy switch your region to another, unaffected one like UK, you’ll get the normal, proper and nice looking playable version again.
Just uhhh… manualy switch the settings every single time you wanna play darktide, make sure NOT to buy anthing in MS Store while the settings are switched because no clue how that might be wonky with let’s say german bank account going trough polish MS Store or something and uhhh gotta huff and puff a karkload of copium that they change this back?

Damn… No more visual feedback of where an attack connects to an enemy.
It doesn’t even take off the enemy’s head anymore on a headshot kill.
Even Brain Rupture does not pop heads anymore.
These three options are completely removed from the game.
This is terrible.
This censorship completely removes important visual feedback and feels like it takes the game back 10+ years.
This would be a reason to quit the game, or not to buy it in the first place.
Modders saving the day again.

I would understand, if the game was sold as 12+, but the game is 18+ (in germany) and described as having “drastic violence”.
Who the hell is this censorship for?

this “dreck” is holding us back for decades now, all because the cheap breadbox trough feeds more cheaper and easier.

Stupid violence censorship always happened in Germany and in some other countries.
Back then, in Half-Life 1 they replaced Soldiers with Robots and did some other bs.

Left 4 Dead (2) had the same censorship as now Darktide. Zombies couldn’t be dismembered.
But you could buy an uncensored German version from Austria.
But at some point it was better, games like Borderlands 2 came out uncensored and some others.
But here we are again. They are now also on the same level as China and hide whole games from Steam. You can see on SteamDB which games are restricted in which country.
You’re mixing up two different things here.
The games/programmes getting delisted from steam are because they don’t have a rating. Once they get a rating, they will be listed again.
Darktide however had and has a rating in germany already.
Nothing regarding any censorship laws changed since the games release and they suddenly have to censor stuff now?
Nuh-uh. There’s no reason for that.

Just for the record, the PC Gamepass version has been partially censored (no ragdoll interactions) globally since release. No Ragdoll interaction after Death (PC Gamepass) - #2 by FatsharkLev “This is intended due to certain censorship laws that Germany has.”

Fatshark please fully remove this change since im playing on geforce now im not able to use mods.I bought the game on release and played it for 600+ hours it really is one of my favourite games and retroactively removing the gore and ragdoll physics after 2 years it really feels like a fraud.The games atmosphere is totally destroyed through this unnecessary censorship and i dont feel like playing it because it doesnt feel right anymore .

It is because of Sony. Sony has the new title for scummiest company if you didn’t know. They scammed tens of thousands of people if not more with the Helldivers lie. They said they were “back peddling” the PSN requirements but in reality they just made the game unbuyable in every country that can’t create a PSN account.
Sony is also now in the process of acquiring Fromsoft, one of the ONLY triple A gaming companies with a spotless release record because they do not focus on microtransactions or money.
