When do we get more character slots?

I am deeply concerned by the 5 character limit on our account. Since you only let us make 5 loadouts per character, I’d like to circumvent that by making new characters. However, I only have 1 character slot left.

I hesitate to even create a 5th character at all because FatShark is known for incompetence and overlooking things so I AM CONVINCED THAT IF FATSHARK CREATES NEW CLASSES, THEY WILL FORGET TO GRANT US NEW CHARACTER SLOTS, LEAVING US UNABLE TO ACCESS A NEW CLASS WITHOUT DELETING EXISTING CHARACTERS.

FatShark please please pleeeeeeeeeassssseeeeee let’s get ahead of this future issue that I have no doubt you will fall face first into. PLEASE allow additional character slots BEFORE you ship any new classes. I don’t want to be here moaning on the forums for 3 months after a new class is released, until you finally decide to address it. Fix this issue before it becomes an issue!

@BigSneeze I don’t think more slots is as pressing a concern as you make it to be.

They could add more slots when they drop a class, maybe they will just give us a different skill tree to tech, we don’t know. A roadmap makes more sense, but still, a roadmap isn’t pressing either imo.

We all know FS works at their own pace, so let them cook!

I feel ya man , kinda trying to fill the “void” between content updates by just making new characters , there is a mod for more character slots More Characters and Loadouts at Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Nexus - Mods and community. But I’m not using it because I don’t want to have one of my beta characters get yoinked randomly because of some server error. I wish Fatshark would just give us the option to have more characters.

It is ridiculous how many very basic things need to be modded into the game when it would take FatShark a day to just make it official.

I also fully agree that we should get a roadmap. Because FS likes to work on their own schedule and they’re embarrassed about announcing Vermintide Versus and not shipping it, they DON’T need to give any dates. Just give us a rough roadmap please…

The worst part of it? Most of the QoL fixes in Darktide Mods are official features in Vermintide 2 and have been since WAYYYY before Darktide’s release.

Honestly, I’d rather have the ability to save an unlimited amount of builds, so that I can have more than 5 builds readily available to me at a time!
