This even was a thing in V2 for some maps, not on a big scale but still.

There is no “one new branch per quarter” deployment schedule, whatever was previously said was made obsolete with the direction classes ended up taking.
The thing that ate up Fatshark’s slow asf resources wasn’t porting to xbox, which is just a shitty PC, it was making and deploying 14 patches.
Who the hell knows what is coming content wise. It is difficult to predict because the art team, the map making team, and the animation team haven’t been held back by anything, they are independent from the teams fixing the game and porting to xbox. Chances are that they have been making maps for the past year and a new biome and enemies, and new weapons too, and after a year chances are a ton of that is either close to completion or is complete.
Flip a coin on what of it we get it before xmas.

No way. The xbox release absolutely ate developer resources and a lot of them. This is a common thing for fatshark but also we know this because other studios had similar problems with Xbox launch. Simple reality of development work is that the senior devs were probably stuck doing this for a lot of last year’s dev time. Which is why we may see more cool stuff from here out. Art teams do cool stuff but devs plug it in and make it work. Don’t count on a large patch until next year. Thats my hot take, it takes time to get up to speed after a redirect.
I would like more penances with more rewards as well, like 3 or so for each weapon, kill X amount of enemies and unlock a basic skin for that weapon 2nd one get an insignia or frame and finish the last one give you a unique skin for it.
THE ANNIVERSARY for this game is coming up and I think we might get some major news and a small update before they go on break with a nice confirmation teaser for what’s to come when they get off break. Next year Quarter 1.

The game still needs an extra balancing patch many weapons are buggy, weak or not worth using, also even for classes some are weak.
Honestly. I would take an optimisation patch over a balance/content patch at this time around.
Yeah if you’re having issues I can see how you’d want that, but playing since launch this game has gotten much more stable for me and my group of friends, I used to crash every other mission, but now I can’t even remember the last time I crashed and the game runs smooth, but optimization is always good so more people can enjoy the game.
I don’t have that much downtime, crashes. But there are some issues. Loading times, quirks etc. Im right there with ya with wanting more content but Optimization is important too haha!
Fatshark likes to show something at game shows. The only two game shows left in the year are the small paris game show on wednesday, and the massive The Game Awards on december 7th.
IF fatshark’s map and animation team have been doing anything substantial during the last year we will probably see it at one of those shows.

Fixing crafting is the only thing that I care about. They can add as many biomes as they want, add as many classes as they want, give me all the Aquillas they want, but until crafting gets a complete rework I’ll just play sporadically.
I can grind to obtain weapon upgrades, but once I have them swapping them in and out of existing weaponry should be as easy as changing talent points. I have tons and mats, dockets, and Melk bucks, but I just cannot be arsed to try out new blessings on my weapons. It’s just too much of a hassle.
I hope they fix the mission board because right now whenever I have time to play I get the same 3 missions all the time on damnation. Switch to auric and it’s the same missions again. The auric board only satisfies adrenaline junkies, it doesn’t make it any easier to play a mission you want.

Yup. Another case where V2 was so much better. I can’t really think of why they would even consider putting effort into implementing the current system.
I definitely get the problem, but for me with the limited map selection already modifiers are really the only thing I look for.
Missions I do prioritize over others are ones that have really challenging events in them, or a Monstrous Specialists Maelstrom. Stuff like the Hourglass (the Battery pit event to climbing the tower for the med station is absolutely brutal and I love it), Ascension Riser, Comms Plex, and Archivum Sycorax (while it doesn’t have a horribly hard event, besides maybe the gunner rooms you have to go through after the alarm section, I think it’s just the best level in the game). Chasm Terminus/the ammo pickup mission (they’re fairly standard missions but their end of missions events are absolutely brutal).
So while I do have preferences, chances are I’ll still get something I want. And even if I don’t? Playing Silo Cluster or something doesn’t hurt.
I am only hoping they are planning something for the anniversary.
We got the patch 13/14 for talent reworks and weapon balance which are the first steps for the new content. I think they are simply preparing for something for 2023.11.30.
