What is the difference between stagger and stun?

‘Electrocuted’ I think is the internal debuff state for stuns coming off this weapon, flash grenades and similar effects. Basically they get tazed like you are actively shocking or a Psyker was Smiting them.

Simply put

Stagger: enemy is pushed off balance by something (attack, push, explosion) and immediately attempts to regain posture. There are multiple levels to this (weak stagger to strong stagger), ranging from a simple “slight knockback” to “guy gets sent to the floor and has to get up”.

Stun: enemy is completely disabled by something (smite, stun grenade, this blessing) for a certain duration, in which they are simply twitching and not capable of doing anything else.

I have not used stuns a whole lot, so someone please correct me if i am wrong.

No, you are right.

There is also “suppression”, in which the enemies start to cower for a short amount of time and are not able to attack.

Stagger is push back. i.e. Plasma shot to Crusher head always knocks it down temporarily.

Stun as in stun lock from Psyker using staff to temporarily “hold” them in same position.

Stagger feels a bit of a hangover from VT2 mechanics where you got an intrinsic damage boost when hitting staggered enemies .

Not sure it’s carried well in to DT. I think I’d personally take a damage or toughness blessing over a chance to have what is in effect a “long stagger” . Better to kill and get hitting the next target than lock one for a few seconds. DT suffers from elite overload.
