On the contrary. I’ve been playing Auric for over a year and I feel a steep increase in the difficulty. And almost every game players leave before the end.
Probably because people are coming back and getting a few rounds in to warm up in anticipation of the update but they’re trash at Darktide, so it only seems harder because your teammates suck more.
• get 3 other peeps that know their craft and race
them to the best of your abilities in a ~15 min
rabid snapping for the killfeed, bosses pop here
and there for a couple seconds before getting
oneshot.
• get 3 blind mice and try a couple of times to lure
em to the healing cheese until you decide “aw fk it
ill do it myself then, that way’s much faster”
just today had 3 maelstroms back to back where specifically not wasting resources on a doomed pickup scenario and getting them back up 2 rooms later when the dust settled was the winning decision.
cause lo and behold by the third room they were dead all over again, rince&repeat.
auric hasnt gotten harder, players gotten way worse/unfit for the settings they’re throwing themselves at cause no one takes the time to learn the ropes yet deems every and all “content” his to be cleared
only thing right now that’s teeth grinding is blue stimmed rotten armor crushers on havoc 40.
those make deadpool blush
Yeah, i played auric with you today, we speedrun it in around 15 min.
Yup, i barely beat one auric malestorm couple days ago, beating my personal record for damage on arby in aurics and had several other such games wins and loses alike.
Ping 10 times to pick up ammo crate, but nah, why should they?
Crusher trains got replaced with specials trains so now, there’s barely average games left, either suffer under 4-5 bombers and flamers at the same time because obviously area denial enemies are not a threat and shouldn’t be killed or have a team that would clear havoc 40 in 1-2 attempts.
Yeah, it was 16 minutes, huge diffirence. There was no skipping, they got rolled over, mostly by index as you can see from stats, and i wasn’t even with any of my main builds, it was experemental (N3 i think) toxin damage/buffer build.
In my case, HISTG balance is just perfect. 11-11 in the last 22 games. Thanos would be proud
In my case, Maelstroms are the exact opposite. Regular Maelstroms (not Monstrous Specialists or Mostly Melee, No Ammo) are incredibly easy. My current stats are 12 wins and only 1 loss (And that’s with me being the weak link!). The skill level of players in Maelstroms is in outer space compared to players in HISTG. In a typical Maelstrom game, not only does nobody die, but nobody even gets downed (except for me)
broskis getting overwhelmed and then think it’s the game ai director being broke or something and spawning too way many enemies when it never changed and always been the same as before
by the way that trapper at the end was the one i raged about in our private discord, the btch starting her voice line and cutting short/firing her net while still in the first word before the last consonant.
game tells me to play by ear by giving acoustic telegraphs and then goes server says no
have a look and you tell me
sidenote: 38 seconds of the vid being in and outtro so take that off the counter.
i dont skip but I don’t lollygag and wait around for the umpteenth respawn either, makes for quite some inefficient coices
besides, my recent solo-maelstrom was 18:30ish and with most of what’s following you spilling over into the arena part of mercantile finale anyways, so you eventually have to kill it
ps:
see, heres the mistake number 1: judging from personal struggle to the overall picture and deeming it “impossible”
thinking small keeps you small and “i cannot” may be a simple matter of dedication and practise.
maybe some can because he puts his heart and soul into and improves until he triumphs?
theres people doing far more impressive stuff and that’s the result of said commitment.
everyone worth a damn had to gruel himself and sacrifice tons of time and effort to get where he is at the end.
be that sports, games or anything else that requires said effort.
Yep which is the point someone raised before - teammate RNG plays a huge part in this game. So really it’s not the game director that is creating your experience.
It is especially noticeable in H40 because all 4 players need to pull their weight.
