More maps. Maybe a chaos wastes equivalent idea. For a city that is big enough to house a billion people, it seems all the important bits are squished in to 6 tiny areas, however great the art team have made them.

I don’t know why we need 15 variations on automatic rifles, but I do know that I only bother with one of them. There are three sniper rifles I don’t touch; all arguably worse than the pistol. Tactical axes? L O L. Only 4 staffs? One shield in the whole game.
Then each with blessings where there are obvious BIS. Or for some weapons, just nothing really good.
I think FS need to break a few eggs, put up with the inevitable first wave of complaints, but really make them different rather than just simple damage profiles. Different ADS. Different recoil patterns. Stagger rather than damage. And ofc, more inline with realistic expectations (cough, pistol, cough).
Fixes for the most annoying things of the game (finding a good base weapon or a system to improve weapon modifiers / no possibility to change our name, same for gender / increase material drops in mission / female models that look like male ones)
Addition of QOL mods (for the drip, weapon customization are the must)
Balance: there was an incredible work done on patch 13, there’s a need to make several blessings more balanced to make them interesting, same for weapons for need buffs or nerfs.
New contents: new maps (procedural maps?), new weapons (and not just new MK variant)

But if I was dreaming and could decide where to go with Darktide I would simply introduce a CoD weapon system.
A system where you can choose freely attributes (=modifiers), blessings and perks (1 or 2 or even none) and customize the model… you would need material to do it and could not change it.Difference with CoD, you could not change the weapon crafted. You could, so, decide everything on it, but once it would reach the end of possible ameliorations, you could not change anything on it. You couldn’t also revert a change.
In other words, a system without RNG but a system that force every players to choose strength and weakness for their weapons.
I understand that. I do really want a crafting system rework, and ideally we will eventually get both.
Again the thread is asking what I would want to see most, and a balance/blessing rework is what I want to see most. Doesn’t mean I don’t want a crafting system rework or that they couldn’t come together.
weapon mods. as much as i like the nexus mods content, it’d be nice to have official weapon modifications. i like the look of my stuff, but idk, it cheapens the experience when no one else can see my gear the way i customized it. if fatshark doesn’t wanna add it to the game officially, they should allow the modded content to appear in everyone’s game, or add official mod support.
Crafting needs a major lookover. Remove the damn locks already! Let us spend resources to increase stats!
Weapons need a pass too. There are just too many weapons that aren’t performing well. I am talking about buffing weak instead of nerfing strong here, Fatshark.
New enemy types would be fun to have.
New maps and or adding more variants to existing maps. Maybe new mission types on existing maps?
I hope that Fatshark addresses the poor player retention, and if they don’t at least understand that they are extremely reliant on good hype and advertising for their updates to draw people back in.
even run purely as a business, in times of crisis cut offs, new stategies and sacrifices have to be made.
they way things are headed now i’d wager getting people back on board or solidifying the good will of those remaining is a good investment and provides rather a percentage of something off real skins than a whole bunch of nothing with their reskins.
don’t know the numbers, ain’t got no sense for business stuff but simple math seems to dictate the remaining “multipliers” aint that numerous anymore.
even the biggest whale can just buy every item once, couple thousand small fish would generate far more sales,no?
