Please bring back old weaves. I love weaves. Other people do too. Please do not abandon them.

What else would you suggest I do? Iāve tried patience. They refuse to respond to anything.
We donāt have anything big planned for Weaves at the moment, but weāre hoping to give them a tweak this year to leave them in a better state. Iām afraid I canāt reveal anything concrete until weāve pinned things down proper.
new weave maps would be awesome! i thought mission of mercy, or at least part of it (using whatever portion of the map was relevant) sounded really cool as a weave. the auras and aesthetic of weaves along w the objectives gives a unique experience thatās fun. old haunts weave would be another vote from me.
At the very least I hope for ratling gunners to not be allowed to spawn in shadow weaves. Thatās sadistic and damn near impossible to clear.
Really kinda just added a DLC mission type but left it buggy and in a state few ever want to play it. The game now is going to have Versus as well as Adventure Mode and Chaos Wastes. The problem being that rewards from the Weaves donāt carry over anywhere except the frames. The game on average has about 2k to 3k players on a given day, and maybe 10-30 here in the US close enough for us to have a game without 300 ping or disconnects.
I donāt know if the weaves are worth salvaging since because if people do migrate over to them and prefer that to the campaign, I will have almost nobody to quick play with. Iāve already been playing Fallout 76, and Total War: Warhammer 3 and none of my friendās are on Vermintide 2 anymore. I canāt even really do Cataclysm often without it turning into a duo or bot solo.
One thing I think weaves could do, is allow players to use obtain the weave skins as rewards. Also, since itās part of adventure mode, why not include a quick play option that allows you to join it?
In fact, maybe at the main menu, include a quick play option to join any game in PvE with a moment to select your career, talents, and weapons before joining once it shows you what kind of game youāre connecting to.
The weaves do need updating, they are easily the worst part of the game. Currently stuck on weave 32ā¦ those effing orbs in tight corridorsā¦ horrendously bad design choice.
Theyāre just not fun, as they are the worst aspects of the game just amplified immensly The timer makes no sense as rushing usually ends up with your death and some of the combinations (invisible enemies and barrel carrying) are so badly designed it doesnāt seem like they were play tested.
They are hard yes. But with the good team you can do it to 160 and it is fun. Almost all big bugs were fixed over the years. Only problem is that we cant do the first three seasons anymoreā¦
I strongly disagree, my team are not having fun in the slightest. Blight Stormers are broken as hell, the orbs and invisible enemies are game breaking mechanics and the insane health increases the āmonstersā get from weave 41 onwards are a joke.
Adding to that characters (Bardin) just got nerfed again in the latest patch (last time it was Markus, Bardin and Kerillian) and the game just becomes more frustrating. The enemies never seem to receive nerfs.
What irks me the most is I paid for these characters with stated skills, only for them to be downgradedā¦
from weave 41-60 the the monster have just as much HP as on normal cata, dont know what you mean
weave difficulty is:
1-10 = recruit
11-20 = veteran
21-30 = champion
31-40 = legend
41-60 = cata
61-80 = cata2
81-120 = cata3
121-160 = cata3+
it is not that bad you only have to be carefull, and blighstormers are just as bad/good as in the base game. Invis enemies you see when they are close and if you listen to the sound cues you know where they are and when to block Also they arent fully invis there is a slighty flimmering air where enemies are so you know where they are standing.
You mean engineer? IMO he is still too way too strong. And the other characters are fine, they are all pretty strong and in a good spot right now, only engi deserves a nerf yet.
And thatās why the weaves are awful, no gradual increase. Weave 31-40 - Rat Ogre 2400 health, weave 41 - 4000 health, and lets not forget thereās 3 of them at the end of weave 41. Times were tight on most levels, and now some are going to be nigh on impossible because āmake number biggerā.
Add to this Fatshark keep nerfing the characters damage output and youāre left with a depressing shitshow that seems you have to play the game the way fatshark want you to, and not how you want to.
Blighstormers are broken all round, they are the worst enemy in the game regardless of the mode. The amount of times one of these POSās cast their storm from an angle where it is impossible for them to even see you or you to see them, or even the other side of the map and are out of range from even being marked is beyond stupid. They then proceed to teleport out of them map to where you can never reach them, but their storm still keeps going.
Invisible enemies + barrels, especially ranged ones negate everything you just mentioned.
I paid for Bardin because of the advertised skills, I am now having that taken away from me. I donāt think Bardin is OP in the slightest. Iād be happy with being able to use the Bardin I paid for and just not appearing on the leaderboards (though it is funny considering how others were allowed to use those āadvantagesā to complete stages, but Iām now not).
Iām not trying to sound like a d*ck btw, I just think the game is horribly balanced in favour of the enemies, and everytime something benefits the player comes along it gets nerfed to hell.
I have problem with the phrase ānigh on impossibleā, because there are enough players who have finished 1-120 without cheesing anything, most players who still play weaves regulary (yeah there are some but not many) enjoy it to do those without cheesing. The cheesing only start at 121+
But yeah i know what you mean the increase in difficulty is pretty fast. But thats the intended design choice, having a game mode where it gets harder and harder the further you get. You will always reach a point where you get stuck with this desing. And i am glad there is such a design implemented. If this design is executed in a good way is another topic, it definitely has some flaws, but imo the flaws are beyond weave 120 and the 1-120 is quite on point.

When I paid for engineer on release he was weaker than he is now. Thatās just how it goes in a game that is still being worked on.
Itās been a while since I finished the season but donāt the weaves just repeat? So weave 1 and 41 are the same, except for the difficulty, right? My point is, you can experience every wave before it gets stupidly difficult. And yeah, at some point it just becomes impossible except for the most skilled or ready to cheese.
I donāt agree for the most part. Up until high difficulties the player character are streets ahead in terms of power and they are not nerfing stuff to hell but rather bringing it down to a baseline they set in the past. All in all the power level rose in the last couple of years IMHO.
I just want to be able to bring AI bots along in the main weavesā¦and for more relevance to the base game.
With the Shadows of Change dumpster fire, I suspect a number of Total War players might migrate to Vermintide and other games.
What a sad state of affairs Total Warhammer 3 is on compared to the darling Warhammer 2 was.
Bots would not help much in weaves. It is too complex for them. And also it is good that we can train true solo outside of modded somewhereā¦
If you want to complete all weaves then join some V2 discord like Red Moon Inn and find the veterans in this game that want to do Weaves. They exist. .-)
Yes, Weaves are not easy but unlike normal games the weaves are always the same. The enemies will always spawn the same. You can learn the weaves one by one and continue to higher ones. Just find good players willing to help you.
Youād be surprised what you can do once you understand the quirks and strengths of the bots, theyāre basically tools alongside your gear and talents.
Besides the current weaves already have options for solo duo etc. So AI Bot integration wouldnāt interfere with that.
