We need to accept some unpleasant truth , time to adjust

The game was not ready , its clear, and im not talking about the technical issues, from missing sound ques, the tiny pool of classes (4 and only 1 is really bespoke… v2 launched with 15? ) .
A finished polished game simply does not change a core mechanic like toughness in the almost random kneejerk way they did to the small amount of feedback it got , this new system is one of those that sounded good untill you start doing the maths on it. that felt like panic.
there is no mission reward systems, the crafting… you all know all this.

We dont know the details of how and why we got here, but we can see where we are. this game is not in a place where they are going to be able to fix this quickly.

its still being built

we can keep on ragging on FS and it is is deserved and does feel good sometime! but its not like its going to make it ready anytime sooner.

its not going to be weeks its going to be months , at some point its going to be healthy to accept that, we are not where we should be , we are where we are.

. myself im still going to play im just scaling back its just not ready for me yet.

There are some honorable ways to scrap this situation in my opinion:

  • Admit that the game was released too early
  • Apologies
  • Mark the game as Early access
  • Give every player who bought the game already half of the buying price back as Ingame currency.
  • Lower the EA price to half of its current price.
  • List things that they wanted to implement but got canned because of nefarious reasons and get reimplemented in the EA phase.
  • Use that list to mark when they think the game is “finished”.

This would give them back some credibility or at least get the fans off their back and have some breathing room.

I would pretty much apricate this move and would supporting them if they did so.

PS. I would not remove the MTX-shop. I would rethink the pricing model but i would keep it as a way to have a direct way to support development.

I’m 50 hours in and I feel like I’ve seen everything already. The progression, or lack thereof, after you hit level 30 hits you like a brick wall. I’ve played every mission, every special condition, tried every weapon, dipped my toes into the other classes.

There’s just not enough meat on the bones to warrant much further investment. After I’m done I’ll return once this game is actually completed. One or two years I guess.

edit: Not to mention the complete laughing stock that is the crafting, which is missing AT LAUNCH, and the weekly/hourly shop system.

I think the community manager has made it clear(see what has been replied to vs what has not) they are not going to acknowledge, apologize or admit anything.

I played the preorder beta and felt that way. I was genuinely excited for launch because i assumed they just didn’t included all of the content for beta just so we didnt experience it all before launch.

The launch happened and we got three maps we could barely play (thanks to fixed map rotation) and the MTX store. The beta was the full game…

Well so much for this being the next big 40k game…in a few months everyone but us will have moved on.

Yeah. I mean that’s just how it is nowadays. If they admitted to making mistakes, or trying to pinch pennies from players with their new shop, or knowingly releasing a product that was unfinished in some aspects and missing stuff from the advertising, then people could potentially have some legal grounds against them. Therefore they stonewall with everything except “we are looking into it”. It sucks and mostly defeats the purpose of engaging with your community but there it is.

What’s funny is that Aqshy claimed that nearly all of Fatshark read the forums. So unless they stay up at night tossing and turning about how they can’t make the changes or add content that players want, they read our feedback and don’t give a shet most of the time.
