We fixed veteran :)

I honestly think that might still be too many extra frags in Auric. Actually I think it almost definitely would be.

If something is going to compete with the Survivalist aura it needs to be really strong. The exact rate can still be tinkered with but you are giving up consistent ranged damage for burst grenade damage.

If you stilk think thats too much than it can be changed to only have a chance proc on either specialists or elites, not both.

I appreciate the idea I just have two issues with it.

Currently survivalist is fantastic though it can lose value if you have multiple staff Psykers in your party. The usefulness for the Vet is enough it’s not a big deal though, and it’s useful for the team generally most of the time. For grenade Regen now on top of ANY Psyker getting no value from it, you can also add throwing knife Zealots and rock Ogryns to the list. Meanwhile Vet themself won’t care about the benefit that much since they’ll likely be running minute nade regen anyway.

Now I just don’t think Frag should get any kind of nade regen. I think any amount of nade regen above zero is more than it should get frankly.

I appreciate the idea to try and come up with competitive auras for Survivalist, but I don’t think this is it personally.

i don’t see sustained fire anywhere.

I legitimately don’t know of any other way to be competitive with Survivalist than another eay ti generate reaources. I think if you are a vet and running that aura is still benefits you with minute nades because you can full send a sort of grenadier build and maybe actually get use out of twinned blast.

I don’t see the problem with a slow recharge on Frag bombs as that is your entire aura. Is 1 Frag bomb really worth like 12 kickback shots? Agains its just burst vs sustained dps.

I think you could still give knives to Zealots as they don’t have an inherent timer on it and would help them throw a bit more freely. For psyker and rockgryn I still think you benefit yourself enough, but you could always have a secondary effect where blitzes not effectes by the recharge effects do more damage while in coherency (5-10 percent).

If thats still bad than legitimately the only other solution I have is just getting rid of the other 2 auras completely and have all vets get Survivalist. :man_shrugging:

Yeah I get it, it’s honestly really tricky. I think as awkward as it is the best solution is probably to include the base Scavenger effect with the other 2 auras. Boring? Yes. But picking between 5% move speed +0.75% ammo regen or 1% ammo regen feels like a choice where there’s no objectively wrong answers at least.

Think it needs a full thread discussing it at some point, however when Vet is in a healthier spot I wouldn’t be opposed to making Survivalist aura not generate ammo out of thin air but either 1. Ammo pickups collected in Coherency are worth more ammo. 2. You get some ammo whenever anyone in coherency picks up some ammo or 3. You give out some ammo to everyone in coherency whenever you pick up ammo.

That way its far less neccassary and omnipresent but still good at what it does, and I believe will make the game itself “healthier” as once again all characters will have to rely on picking up ammo drops in some way.

Again would probably want to wait on any potential change to this until the Vet tree is looking a bit better.

Here is one with the modifiers added back in, and some slight changes and re-additions, it takes 18 points minimum to reach a keystone but still has a lot of access to good options

I find it hilarious that first time post with THAT name is chastising a now temp hidden post.

Starting off strong lol
