Agreed.
wildfire, and kentic flayer are never going to be used with AB after these nerfs. If you use AB without warp battery you are effectively gimping yourself. Going to be interesting to see what fatshark does with all the negative feedback over this update. And it is coming from most of the high profile content creators not just the community.

I never said it wasn’t, I just like trying out non-meta ideas, so I’m used to being “underpowered”.

The bottom line of this issue, was this nerf warranted? Nearly every single high level Psyker you ask will say no. The change had no reason to happen in the first place, because nothing that was nerfed was even overpowered(Especially Wrack and ruin, infernus, soulblaze blessings and wildfire).
Even if you personally don’t mind, almost nobody can say It needed to happen, and that’s the issue here.

Not everything have to be overpowered to gain some tweaks.

As i’ve said, it’s a good first step to actually make some difference between normal enemies and flak-armored ones, while it also gives some elites defensive strength back , which is highly needed.

The lasgun is still strong anyway, but the other flame-effects rely on huge aoe tools in general. Wrack and Ruin is still good if you’re a BB Psyker, Wildfire still assists waveclear soulblaze-weapons.

Ofc you can only see the nerf and that it was atleast not needed to soulblaze itself, but i really do see some importance to keep aoe effects really good in waveclear, but not against elites / armor.

As been said, carapace is pretty much the only thing which actually have an impact looking at the enemies defensive designs. Given flak more meaning is nothing wrong and FS should continue tweaking other stuff that way to set more minor-differences between the weapon-choice and enemy-design.

That the level 10 feats of Psyker are completely unbalanced right now thanks to easy peril-management and the obvious extra damage is another issue that needs to be addressed.
Wrack and Ruin could stay, but the other 2 need a replace if peril management stays like it is.
If that’s done, soulblaze will automatically have more meaning again.

Everyone knows Darth is a contrarian. It helps a bit because you can use their defences to refine your own arguments.

You guys just fail to see the obvious.

There´s nothing wrong with suggestions, wishes, criticism etc… but

  • a lot of players don´t think any further and which impact stuff has on the game.
  • a lot just react way too emotional caused by a stupid videogame.
  • a lot can´t even show some normal human behavior or they thanks atleast for once when something got fixed or changed as requested. Instead poeple continue to moan about others or the same things as usual.
  • etc…

There´s a lot to take into account and dozens of poeple just fail at it. FS have to start somewhere to make the game a better place for everyone and not just the self-claimed “majority” or the elitist-crowd.
Not everything might work perfectly nor will a tweak or fix work perfectly. Why? Because there´s a community out there with dozens of different wishes and expectations to the game. And the latest patch just shows once again what´s wrong with the playerbase. A shitstorm and negative reviews because 2 weapons got their justified nerf to keep the game in a better balanced state. I mean:

Says enough, right? It´s a videogame and poeple seem to prefer to play the victim than actually either get used to some stuff or find something else they might enjoy way more.

Or take my favorite question as example: “Why don´t you play on a difficulty that´s suits your preferences of fun?”. Yet noone gave me an answer, ever.

There´s just so much egoistic bs happen it´s incredible… even unbelievable.

This game has obvious issues, noone is denying that. But the lovely community should actually start to think out of the box and maybe try to think in long terms. It´ll help the game growing way better than all the pointless shitstorm, weak arguments, getting heavily emotional and ofc egoism.

Think whatever you want from me, i really couldn´t care less. But after reading through dozens of threads, claims, arguments, insults, whatever… i can definately tell that i´m smarter and care way more for a successful game, which suits as many poeple as possible even in the long run, than the most here crying until they got what they wanted.

I’m not trying to play the victim I was making a joke about how FS has become a joke of its former self, chasing player retention and monetization schemes while forgetting the lessons their releases should have taught them. Its embarrassing that V2 has solved almost all of the problems DT has, what happened, did everyone quit?

The answer to that question is so obvious.
The game is designed in ALL WAYS to force the player to grind endlessly for no guaranteed results.

Sure you don’t need a perfect weapon to enjoy the game.
But that does not change the fact plasteel grinding and in a minor way brunt’s lottery BS are what define the game progression, along with the horrible 1 hour shop refresh.

And that means playing heresy at the minimum and if possible damnation to keep the plasteel gains at reasonable levels.

It seems odd to ask that to people frequenting this forum thus a step further than casual fun.

You do have some good ideas here and there, but when 90% of your posts is blindly defending very obvious design mistakes and decisions, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and just call them “contrarian”.

There are reasons why the 1 hour refresh is better than getting nothing if you fail you run.

Also poeple focus way too much on the system if you asked me. Yes stuff should get changed, we need a better middleway atleast. But if you know how the system is, then i wouldn´t interact with it that heavily. (Which i don´t do and i still get very good weapons here and there. I just don´t hunt for metaperks.)

I understand that, but what´s more important… materials and maybe-progress or fun?
I know what i would prefer so…

Nevertheless it´s another issue and i personally wouldn´t mind to get more materials in general and the same amoung on damnation / heresy.

This is highly subjectively and that´s a thing you see across all gaming in general. Some prefer this, some prefer that… it´s how it is.
What we still need is a middleway, but i also stated this multiple times.
