Warp Unbound upgrade for Scrier's Gaze does not work consistently

Issue Type (Required):

Talents

Issue Description (Required):

The description for the Warp Unbound upgrade for Scrier’s Gaze reads as follows;
“Scrier’s Gaze now also prevents overloading from Perils of the Warp, during its lingering effect.”

One part of the description of Scrier’s Gaze reads as follows;
“While in Scrier’s Gaze you build up Peril. Build up is temporarily slowed down by enemy kills. At 100% Peril, Scrier’s Gaze ends.”

So from my understanding, running Scrier’s Gaze with Warp Unbound means you cannot overload on peril at all when either the main ability is in effect or its lingering effect. During the main ability’s effect, peril should stop at 100% and shift over to the lingering effect, which is still meant to prevent you from overloading. Despite this, I’ve had it overload and kill me multiple times, though not every time.

I can’t seem to find any way of consistently reproducing it, it seems to just kind of happen whenever. I’m positive I’m not outside the effect active time when these things have happened. At first I thought it may have been caused by the overload happening too quickly after activating the ability but when testing it in the Psykanium, even activating it at 100% did not reproduce the issue, yet I’ve had it happen to me on 3 separate occasions in the past weekend.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Unclear. Run Scrier’s Gaze with Warp Unbound and use a staff to try and overload with SG active in different scenarios.

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Unusual (<25%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

good news, it is acknowledged…
Here the last 4 threads reporting it.
From what I saw, it is reported since september 2024.

That’s good news. Hopefully it’s also being addressed and not left as “acknowledged” for an asinine amount of time like other bugs.
