It’s both very similar and very different. I recommend watching some videos while focusing on the pace of the game and what you have as movement options. VT2 is more methodical and your melee needs to be up to snuff if you want to go to Cata+, there’s no way around it. Yes Sienna can play mostly staff but that will only work when you’re experienced enough. Dodging is your bread and butter. Things you need to keep into account other than preference related stuff:
- There are no servers, everything is hosted.
- Depending on your region and time of day you play you may have trouble getting into games.
- If the Host disconnects your mission is GG. In Chaos Wastes I believe you would restart from the last zone you loaded into while the host changed, so that’s a bit better but for normal games you’re F’d.
- There is friendly fire. The friendly fire scales with the difficulty, thusly if you have a particularly inaccurate elf using Javelins it can be a bad time. You can get CHUNKED.
I used to main Saltzy Bounty Hunter and he has a BIG ass pistol as a special ability, that thing can delete one of your teammates. Though I used to be pretty good with avoiding friendly fire, it’s inevitable that a teammate comes from behind you whilst you’re about to blast, so prepare to occasionally blast/get blasted by your teammates.
Keep into account that it’s been a while since I last played so some of these things need to be double checked, but I have a hunch they’ve remained unchanged.
