Then why would they have made it Free to keep for a weekend in December ?

Micro. Transactions. If not to distract us from the dumpster fire that is darktide in the background, then to make some extra money to keep things afloat further while they try to either fix darktide or sweep it under the rug. I got it for free and wouldn’t mind spending 5 dollars on a game like vermentide 2. Its genuinely a good game in the state its in CURRENTLY (Not so much when it initially launched just like Darktide). Build up some interest in the gameplay loop and then once darktide actually gets some updates, transfer back to that until you get bored. Rinse and repeat everytime FS takes a break from updating DT.

And if they didn’t, its cheap as dirt. And the micro transaction store works as well as darktides. :sunglasses:

not gonna happen, i play DT because its WH40k and i have zero interest to play a WH Fantasy game that is 5 years old.

If you like the combat in Darktide I’d still recommend Vt2 as well, maybe not Vt1 as its quite different

I won’t differentiate with one being more complete than the other. Both have their strenght and weaknesses (And Darktide is 2month old and a live service so quite the different beast all together)

for me immersion and the universe/ world a game takes place is very, very important.
Games can be good, but when i cannot immerse myself or like the setting, it wont have a chance as the setting/ immersion is at minimum 50% for me to have fun.
Warhammer Fantasy is not for me, sorry, the game can be good, but wrong setting.

I don’t mind. Having fun playing V2 again after years of not playing any.
