I’ve heard a lot of wild theories already. “Morrow is a canned personality that Grendyl implants into his senior NCO.”, “Morrow has loads of clones running around.”, “Sounds like warp-time shenanigans.” or even “Morrow is just practicing good OPSEC.”
What do you guys think?
Nox Alpha’s where the 6th turned traitor, so this is an interesting fish. makes me wonder how long grendyl’s been going fishing…
Indeed, Nox Alpha lies at the heart of this whole thing.
It was first mentioned in Luetin’s pre-launch official lore video and we’ve had various tid-bits dropped via cosmetic descriptions and a whole pile at once from the Martyr skull whispers ever since (aggregated here).
Everyone has been hoping that an eventual Chaos-Waste-Expedition-like game mode will go to the second hive city out there (which would be just fine, if not kinda samey) but I hope we go to Nox Alpha instead.
Only problem with that is that I doubt there’s many poxwalkers there naturally without them being shipped in. They’d need to introduce the “Noxians” as a faction and that’s a big ask.
Anyway, I hope we at least get a new Special Assignment out of this. (and hopefully more than one per year going forward, yeah?)
i don’t want to go to nox alpha, i’ve been paying attention. there’s no light there. i’m not playing a randomly generated map in lights out mode.
you can go do that, and i’ll make fun of you for it. how about that.
That’s one region called the Tenebrus. Since having no light there is what sets it apart, I’d guess the other regions do have day/night cycles.
Them defining the characteristics of the different regions is part of what made me speculate they might plan to have missions there at some point.
i don’t see us getting off-planet, grendyl has other people that can do that and he’s not about to abandon his plans in tertium, moreso if this is accurate and he’s been hunting for his target since before the 6th’s revolt. we’re the fodder, we fight and die in this stupid war.
we’re not some fabulous 5- er, 4 that the inquisitor sends out to handle all his personal missions.
