I do not think that FS will add a whole new character, it is too complicated, but new subclasses will likely appear at some point.
However It would be interesting to see some kind of Ice mage in action (frozen enemies is always fun to shatter), I would like to play healer character (if it possible at all to create in this game).
It’s already been stated that they looked into a new character. And during a stream, 2 of the Devs said they were working on a new character. Not sure if it was a slip of the tongue or they were just joking. The same thing was said about adding new enemies, and here we are only a year after release with an entire new faction about to enter the game. A new character is pretty much gonna happen, especially since the Devs have stated the game will get updates for 5-10 years.

I think that at least 2 heroes should arrive at the same time. All the time the game tells us that no one can survive alone at the end of time.
I would like to see at least 2 heroes who have had to do the same as our heroes, survive working together.
“No one can survive alone at the end of time” isn’t really great justification to put in double the amount of effort required.
Making one new hero with 3 distinct careers, talents for said careers, new weapons, dialogue with existing heroes, and so on and so forth is already a massive task on it’s own, and even then, it’s not even guaranteed to be something that people are going to like. Doubling up on that is going to be a nightmare.
It doesn’t even make sense from a narrative perspective either. If these two heroes were already capable of surviving completely fine on their own anyway, what reason do they have to join up with our group?
It makes more sense to release the heroes alone. It saves time, money, it’s safer, and the hero themself would have a way more plausible reason to join up with the U5.

@SrRaulCL, It is easy to explain, the others from the group was killed or something.
To be fair, they don’t have to be playable characters. It doesn’t matter how many strangers show up, only one is the new playable character. The others are NPCs, perhaps one knows Lohner and has missions for us. They could play it off story wise.

I have talked about this in other threads.
Example: find 4 survivors, 3 of them NPCs who work in the castle as Lohner or Olesya (a blacksmith, an architect, a farmer …) and the last one a new hero for the cause, like a Bretonnian or new mage.
I’m curious to see how the poll plays out now with just the top 3 competing. See how people will vote without their top pick in the line up now that’s it’s been narrowed down a bit. Bretonnian and Lizardmen are tied for 3rd, so I’ll put them both in, top 4.

@TobaisGeofell I’m right there with you. I can’t stand the idea of a Vampire joining Saltzpyre and Kruber and am considering learning how to maximise FF to be able to wipe the vampire scourge from the party.

when did Jackson de-mystified Elves… There everywhere in the Tolkien Books. Silmarillion, Hobbit or Lotr it doesnt matter. Dwarfs are more mythical than Elves since there are less stories about them when u have read the books. But okay i`ll leave it at that.
Ur reasoning about Gennevieve seems very plausable and thought through.
I personally liked to see more than one character but yeah, it depends on if Vermintide will have a part 3 or not… If not they could throw in all the mentioned new Heroes but each with only one Career maybe.

so Grave Guard at the minimum. Varghulf maybe bit too much but its not about the dmg more about crowd control. How epic WOULD THAT BE TO HAVE ONE smashing all the enemies around and aggroing them.
I think about weapons have different Summonings of Monsters etc.
My Fav. would be Cairn Wariths and Vargheist!!
You could alsdo make Cairn Wraiths a Magic attack where they are used as a path Attack. So they sweep through the Enemies for a set distance and mow them down.
Something like that would be EPIC!

Well, yeah, when you arbitrarily select what options you can vote for so it doesn’t encompass all the different kinds of heroes both possible and plausible, sure, you have “the 4 heroes most desired by the community”.
If you wanted a more accurate list, it has to be longer than just the 10 options you presented, half of which are just different types of wizards.
Yes, I am salty there wasn’t an Ogre option.
Juxtaposition in poll Geneviève Dieudonné (hero/person from novels) as playable character with unnamed Warrior Priest (profesion), Lizardman (race only with an undefined occupation lol!) and unidentified Bretonian (another lol) has as much sense as voting on the possibility of playing as Gotrek, Felix or Mathias Thulmann with Graverobber, Ogre or Middenlander. Sorry but all this polls is pointless and stupid. I hope this is only a joke. It’s better to go all out and give Sigmar himself as playable toon. Aleready we have statue in keep so…

Your poll only shows that only 20 voting users would like to Geneviève as playable char or mabe NPC. Very big this community… lol Ehh… let devs work in peace at Widns of Magic. They rly don’t care about pools like this and I’m not surprised at all.

Well, that escalated quickly…
Just to clear up something, around 80-90 votes is the normal average for the forum. This is actually the most voted on poll in the forums history I believe. Every poll I’ve done or seen on here sits around 80 votes. If you know how forums work, you know that the 1k views includes mostly bots from Google and other companies.
You could make a poll that reflects what you want. I think he was just trying to keep it simple with some of the choices. As there could be a lot of different Lizardman choices, so just putting Lizardmen covers all of them, same for Brettonian. He could of just put new wizard instead of all the different types as well. It’s not secret that a lot of people want the vampire chick and warrior priest. And lets be real, despite @LordRhinark posts being hilarious, the chances of an ogre joining the team are slim to none. Just as the chances of any other vampire or dark elf, skaven, etc.
They actually do, and hedge has stated several times to post feed back and heart comments you agree with or want to happen. As that’s how they look for which feedback to use. For better or worse… The hearted comments on the Pyro Beam threads are the ones that influenced changes for her. Just as the hearted comments on WHC turned out to be the exact same buffs they implemented.
I used the Steam forum before, my first post was for the bright eyes of the enemies to return to the game, people called me stupid for asking things to Fatshark. Currently we have this.
Then I created a new post about what would be the armies of new enemies, Undeads and Beastmen, they also called me stupid for thinking about things that would never happen. At the end of summer we will have the Beastmen.
Now I’m in this forum, talking about how great it would be to have new heroes and they tell me again that my posts are stupid. It´s a great sign.

About Beastmen. C’mon maybe because of you we have now Winds of Magic and Beastmen enemy? Gimme a break pal.
Beastmen are best suited enemy faction. Why? Because many Beastmens are worshipers of Nurgle (pestigors) and in Vermintide 2 we have alliance of skavens and Nurgle. In this situation, Beastmen are almost obvious choice. I hope you know Warhammer lore and that’s why I will not elaborate further.
BTW. I also write about Beastmen as a third enemy faction (here on this forum) and call all the enemies “unholy trio” and I completely do not explain the addition of this faction because I write like that

Though I cannot speak for the actions of the Steam forums, as far as I can tell, no one is calling you stupid here.
I’m not opposed to the idea of a new hero - in fact, I welcome it. I even made a concept for a new hero myself (You should already be able to tell what it’s about).
All I’m saying is that, if you want to go around making broad statements like “THESE are the heroes the community wants the most”, you can’t just make the voting options in the poll biased from the beginning.
You’re completely free to say which heroes you want the most (just as I’m beating this Ogre hero joke to death several times over), that’s fine with me, but you can’t just speak for others like this.
That’s all, really.
