I understand that, but it would still take a very long time to kill four maulers + a bunch of trash units, whereas a salvo from a bolter would make short work of them. The bolter excels in dangerous situations like this.
then dont shoot the head? Its just maulers and ragers btw, rest can all be headshot normally, including the armored gunners, but the armored gunners you need the benefit of sniper to 1 tap
I would argue thats why you have the powersword. 4 maulers up on me in melee, ok powersword, ez pz.
To be fair the MG XII will also kill a Mauler long before they can walk into melee range.
