Very slow startup time

I’ve experienced incredibly slow startup times for along time. This is consistent and happens every time I start it up. It takes a while to get the launcher open from steam and then from pressing play in the launcher it takes very long for anything to happen (launcher exits and it looks like nothing else is starting for a couple of mins). Then when the game actually starts it’s just a black screen for a couple of more mins unt il the fatshark intro video actually starts.

My PC specs are:
Intel Core i7.8700K @3,70GHz
16 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 1070 TI
Game is located on a Samsung Evo 970 M.2 disc

Thank you Julia, seems like the nvidia power management thing really made a difference for me.
