So sometimes on game launch DLSS3 Frame Gen seems to not trigger on cutscenes nor main menus ( 60 fps lock ), then going into game it feels stuttery as if its trying to turn on but not really. Then another times opening the game causes the frame gen to work properly ( menus appear as 120 ) and then its completely smooth in game as well.
The only fix for this is restarting the game until frame generation is working properly, but i t can break also during play in menus for some reason.
Another thing is that Windows Auto HDR seems to not acknowledge Vermintide is an actual application. For some reason it sees it applies HDR but slider for Auto HDR intensity doesn’t seem to work.
Hm strange! I’ve queried this with our engine developers to see if they have any insight/suggestions, and to check if this is something that’s on our radar already or not.
I’ll let you know once I’ve heard back from them. Thank you for your patience.
@fjelly I’ve spoken with our engine developers and they’ve informed me that DLSS3 Frame Gen is implemented, but intentionally disabled in menus. With this working inconsistently as you describe there may be an issue here (e.g. engine, NVIDIA or 3rd party software) and we’ll need to investigate this further.
Some suggestions:
Ensure you are on latest drivers.
Disable 3rd party software that might interfere (eg. overlays)
Please let me know if you find any difference.
Also, our engine developers have asked if you could share your exact hardware as this would be very useful. If you’d be happy to share a DXDiag file with me it would be appreciated (please DM this file though, as it contains information about your system best to not publicly post):
Press Windows key + R key to open the Run window
In the Open field, type dxdiag
Select OK to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool
If prompted, click Yes to allow drivers to be digitally signed
Click Save all information
In the Save As window, choose a location to save the file, such as your desktop and select ‘Save’
