Vermintide 2 is saying I have frame generation enabled and vsync is greyed out

Issue Type (Required):

Visual

Issue Description (Required):

I’m having a weird bug in Vermintide 2. Vsync is greyed out and it says “This setting has an active override due to the following setting: Frame Generation.”

I have not updated or changed a single file on my PC. I do not have automatic updates on. I did not update any graphics driver.

This just happened out of nowhere. I was playing the game fine the previous day, and then I logged on and it now it says this.

I do not have frame generation turned on and have never touched that setting. I do have a 4090.

Has anyone ever seen this?

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Go to the graphics setting

[PC] Do You Use Mods? (Optional):

No, I don’t use mods

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Constant (100%)

Platform (Required):

PC - Steam

Hi @TriaxNGR,

Apologies for the delayed reply. I tried to do some digging on this, and how these settings interact but unfortunately I couldn’t glean any information.

I believe frame generation can be disabled by disabling ‘Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling’ (which is enabled by default for Windows 11):

  1. Press the Windows key and type ‘Graphics Settings’
  2. Select ‘Graphics Settings’ from the menu
  3. Disable the setting ‘Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling’
  4. Restart your PC
