Question, do you play Sienna or along Sienna a lot?

Never really play her, most of my runs lately have been just to test how it’s doing, so they’ve been solo. Unchained is often there, but it occurs even when she’s not in the match. It can be connected to hordes, but can also occur at weird times, like at the end of a horde, or literally just walking across a room. I think I’ve even had it when standing still.

I’ve had frame stutters with her around. So that’s why I ask.

The Fire walk drop my fps by 30

Frame Rate drops for me are usually a combination of heavy FX, Green Fire + Fire Walk or LOTS of DoT things on fire + poison etc. So Horde on fire + flamer causes probably the biggest FPS drops.

It’s possible it might be there’s just more FX heavy things at once. Lingering Flames + Flame Throwers + Poison + Horde is going to tax FPS coupled with much higher Health means things are on fire(and on screen) for longer.

Playing Sienna on her own, no matter how incendiary she is never drop the rate until something else FX heavy comes along.

One thing I don’t get though.

When one complains that legend is too hard and champion too easy, and that they want to decrease legend difficulty, what about those in legend that cannot go to Cata (cause difficulty) and find legend right atm?

So legend would be too easy for them after a nerf.

And this exact same guys, aren’t they elitist for thoose having difficulty in champion?

What about the jump between Cata and legend if legend gets nerfed?

Would it be better to farm full champion instead of 1 grim legend? And in champion you can increase difficulty and garentee emperor chest with twitch mod.
This way, you learn the gap and once improved go to legend. Repeat for Cata.

Do you know that while only Emperor’s chest can give reds, all the Legend vaults can do that?

You HAVE to pay for that jump. As it is, Cata doesn’t stand as next logical difficulty progression step rather a buy in offshoot that sets itself as default difficulty of that offshoot. What Cata stands for is normal difficulty to people who want challenge.

Yes but first ones on legend have less chance to give you red (peasant commoner even soldier iirc)

So it is logical to have to pay to enjoy the game , when there is 4 whole difficulty below, and Cata is not even that hard, all bugs aside?

For me, legend without bug (spawn no where, no sound, etc…) is the right difficulty. Champ easy and Cata very hard. Im ok, with 7/3 or 6/4 win rates. Only bugs and dont touch nothing more.

There’s a catch though, this game isn’t newly released. And I can’t judge Cata difficulty, I actually kinda refuse, but that’s another point. So as I was saying, if this were a release, heck no, even now, I fully agree with your right to request more challenge for yourself. What I will object is taking a difficulty that has been the way it was for least 5 months and saying that people’s effort is no longer enough for those rewards. No one has the moral right to do that, not you, or me or even Fatshark. And I stand on that principle not because it’s too hard, but because I believe it isn’t right.

I believe you have moral right to request challenge or least tools to make yourself the challenge. And I will stand for your right to request it. However, if FS statement, that Cata will be highest official challenge is not enough for you, I don’t think they can deliver it for you what you want.

That doesn’t solve the gap in difficulty.
When they granted access to legend to anyone because of Dodge, nobody complained. A lot of people will look for challenge before jumping to cata, and legend is that.

But I think this argument will go nowhere unless fatshark shows us player base repartition in difficulty.
I m pretty sure there was way more people in legend that in recruit and vet combined.

I got it is frustrating to have to go down, as well as a lot of people would get ennoyed if they removed glitched experience and achievement.

But in the long run, it is way better to get an intermediate difficulty, even if it means some disturbed pride, than a nightmare way to easy and a legend where a huge portion of the player base is.
And remember difficulty is artificial because of bugs and overturned beastmens, so it will go down anyway once they are patched

You don’t play Legend to prepare you for Cata. You play Cata to prepare you for Cata.

Or you play Legend + Deeds, or Legend + Twitch, or Legend FoW, or Legend + Deeds + Twitch. There are multiple steps between Legend and Cata, even without considering modded realm.

EDIT: Also, I believe Fatshark said that Cata was intended to be beyond the game progression. So the game shouldn’t be trying to prepare you for it; it’s just there if you want to challenge yourself. But Legend is supposed to be part of the progression.

It should still respect a gaussian progression. If everyone is in legend, why bother with difficulty?

But not everyone is in Legend. Where do you get that idea?

I think most people who aren’t in Cata are in Champion or Legend, but Recruit & Veteran are basically just an extended tutorial, so that’s to be expected.

I’m getting too drunk to carry on this conversation, but here goes.

Fatshark already has proven they can’t do that with 1.6 difference between Champ and Legend.

Along with reevaluation of rewards. If it’s gonna just screw over everyone who’s “not good enough” Fatshark deserves to fail. For something that is called 2.0, it really doesn’t feel like it.

You are not listening. Seriously, it’s to point of frustrating to talk to you. In simplest of terms, Old champion and New champion have more in common than New champion and Old legend. People liked old legend, I liked old legend because I could get home tired the hell out from work and still semi carry. Heck, new legend is not bad, but there’s NOTHING that offers the experience and reward of old legend right now.

No no no, you don’t get to call old legend glitched experience, or I get to call all QQ cancels, dodge dancing, dodge jumping, ANY kind of animation canceling a glitched experience and request ANY progress made to be removed. Start form 0 power again, with no items. I really don’t want to do that, but you’re pushing for it yourself and come on, it’s not fair.

I agree as long as rewards are appropriate. (i’ll tackle again the pride statement)

I played V1 just this week, I’m noob there with lvl 21 (started with 20 this week), I familiarized with controls in Engines of War on recruit and then moved to try Horn of Magus on Nightmare, gotta say it felt about what Champion feels in V2, so I don’t know where are you pulling “too easy” part. Cataclysm I couldn’t try out properly since surprise surprise I ain’t geared well enough and rarity does matter in that game more by looks of it and I don’t believe it’s getting extra points for V1 item system, sure triple trait system is kinda cooler than 2 properties and trait system in V2, but damage being tied to item rarity is CRAP.

Huge part of remaining playerbase is. Majority of all playerbase that ever played V2 probably never passed Veteran by my guess (since I don’t have statistics access). I don’t want to try diving deeper as to why you want to consider people who stayed to play this not that popular and niche game as average players. It’s kinda useless topic IMO.

Please, I really don’t want to go hunt down the HP change table, Mass increase change table, nerfs to certain weapons, the terror event scaling change, dodge rework, tracking, hyperdensity and aggresiveness changes. And ALL difficulty is artificial by it’s nature.

Like literally. Vermintide 2 is artificial, it hasn’t “naturally” occurred and Fatshark is mining and distributing it.

Most people want to play at difficulty they’re comfortable. These changes took away what was 1.6 Legend difficulty. Are you saying it’s ok to alienate theoretically over a THIRD of the playerbase by taking away difficulty they were comfortable at?

I’ll record from now on the games, and let you know if I find something. Sometimes the sounds go very glitchy as well. I got a firewalk stuck location at convocation, tomorrow i’ll upload the pics.

If legend becomes easier and boring to some players, there are deeds, weeklies, and twitch mode to make it more difficult while still getting decent rewards. If you need it harder after doing deeds + twitch then you’re ready to start in Cata. The rewards are all the same at this point anyway.

Legend difficulty right now is hard. My breakdown is that it is 25% due to bugs, 30% due to overtuned beastmen, 35% due to teams just not sticking together consistently throughout the map, and 5% due to (I think) players not using very good builds given the new game play changes. Hopefully this will all change.
