User_settings.config overwrites every launch

user_settings.config file resets to default every time I launch the game. not patched.

Hey Raven, is your user_settings.config set to Read Only? You can change this by:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% and select the ‘OK’ button
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\MicrosoftStore\Darktide
  4. Right-click user_settings.config and select ‘Properties’
  5. Under ‘Attributes’, deselect the ‘Read-only’ checkbox
  6. Apply the changes

can you still alter options in game if this file is read only?

Yep, but will usually reset the next time you launch :smiley:

It is not, although I have tried doing it in order to prevent alteration to no avail.
