Update from Fatshark

The sad thing is that if they can get something like 10 out of every 1000 players to whale they don’t have to care enough to make good working skins, have reasonable pricing, do good QA testing, or for that matter, put in the effort in making a good game overall.

This is what makes games as a live service design so insidious, it’s designed to enable rent-seeking behavior on the part of game devs and publishers, and allow them to put in as little effort as possible into products while maximising their returns.

It’s the corporate version of min-maxing for revenue.
