Upcoming Crafting system adjustments are fine stop being toxic

Yep, totally fair because I have a different perspective on the issue.

like, is it a “oh you like darktide, name three of the songs in the genre” real fan thing? i’ve not played much of the much vaunted other games that i must have to deserve an opinion, but when i did i didn’t much care for them. entirely independent of the itemization systems i will add - if someone was like, oh man, you won’t believe how unlike Payday 2 they have made a recent game that would not meaningfully change my evaluation of that game?

If fatshark made a poll on the subject right now what do you think the results would be?

Your in a minority and you want everyone else to stop complaining about something that’s crap because you think its ok? Is that why you wrote the part about your hours in destiny2 and darktide do you think that validates your opinions?

I’ve got more hours than you in darktide by a considerable amount more than double in fact does that mean I can tell you what to think or say or try and silence your opinion just because I don’t agree with it?

No it does not.

Maybe you made this post to get a reaction or your just trolling…

The point of a perfect weapon AKA a red, is to be able to shuffle builds easily and try different combinations, reach different breakpoints.

Items here are NOT like legendaries in other loot-based games.
If they had the traits of the Chaos Wastes, perhaps.

I do NOT want the perfect weapon, I want to be able to craft what I need to try other builds and expand the longetivity of the game.

If you are playing with a low level revolver, good for you.
Odds are a thing, but even if you cut the odds by half right now (only 2 blessing/perk tiers, counting perfect base), it’s STILL incredibly frustrating to try stuff.

In vermintide, if I had a red bow with 10% chaos 10% monster, and I wanted to try a different build, I would spam the [bad] crafting system and get the two traits I wanted to lets say get 10% skaven and 10% armour for those one shot bodyshots.

In Darktide I cannot because the things are locked.

Endgame build crafting in tide games is about breakpoints.
The finesse is in knowing how many hits/shots you need for everything.
The systems in DT are the SAME as in VT, yet they have doubled down on the worst aspects.

Vermintide 2 had perfect red weapons and they took time to obtain but weren’t impossible.
Everyone had them.
So what? What is wrong with having a “perfect weapon” and focusing on the actual GOOD gameplay rather than the cr*p crafting?

what do i care, this isn’t a democracy? if you polled everyone who drank coke and asked “hey should coke be cheaper” would you get meaningful market research or would you just observe the interests of the company and the interests of the consumer base are not the same.

also lol at “how dare you silence me, and also, you’re clearly acting in bad faith”

Someone already made a poll that is currently running on the forums, and the people here are overwhelmingly in favor of RNG decisively going to hell.

I certainly did not want to troll anyone, but it so happens that most who cares about the game, and bother to post anything on the game forum, think the developers are doing / have done everything wrong, and generally should be prohibited from doing their game, because people from the forum better know how things should be done.
I just wanted to voice my opinion, the opinion of a person who cares about the game, and I’m satisfied with the current direction and I look to the future with optimism.

it should be free :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fair enough. My problem is not with you having a different opinion to my own or the majority of the remaining player base by the way it with you calling anyone who complains about the proposed system toxic kids.

The only thing I do not like in this update (I think that about the random system to talk about is useless, it is clear, but nothing can be done about it, at least at the moment, they will not fix everything in one day), is a lock on one of the blessings.
Explanation. Let’s say you get the cannon of your dreams, i.e. almost all of the harness at 80%, perfect extra harnesses like +25% damage to someone, etc., and 1 great blessing. You upgrade your weapon to orange and swap the 2nd trash blessing for the one you want. Done, perfect, it’s a dream cannon and it punishes everyone because of its synergy of the two blessings. You play-play-play and one day…PATCH NERF!
That’s it, your cannon isn’t so perfect anymore, since they’ve re-nerfed or changed the very blessing you have under lock and key. So what to do? Grind a new weapon? And this is very difficult, given that such a gun (you need it!) falls (at the moment) 1-2 times per character. Even no, it’s not complicated, it will just be limited by your time (to check the store, check what crap, in short, the lottery). meh…
What if I want to change my build? Meeeh… x2
I really hope that the rewards for difficulty level 5 missions with increased hordes will give weapons 375+, because, er, what’s the point of playing them then? If you consider purely grind and not fun. Meeeeeeeeh x3…

This game is already in hell.
In 3 months it sunk for 100k to 3k
VT2 has an average 5k daily.

that is a fair opinion for someone on that side of the equation to have! consumers will always strongly prefer (and report a preference!) towards what is ultimately 0 price, and the inverse, companies ultimately wanna sell for infinite price ideally, if that were possible. that is the nature of any trade, it is all ultimately a compromise. parties have different interests.

There is a ton of very obvious information out there about how badly this games population has tanked.

They must know I mean take a look on reddit or their own forum for five mins and its obvious. They are ignoring it and continuing anyway that’s when its becomes a problem.

Alik, if you play a lot and with the same gun and a nerf come:

  1. the nerf will just rebalance things… so your weapon is yet good
  2. maybe the nerf will impact the blessing you have chosen… then you will (that was one of my questions i would have wanted to see answered) be able to change it again
  3. if you play a lot with a weapon, and never used your materials, when the nerf comes, you have plenty of materials to craft an other one

Using Veterancy as an opening statement, and as such, presenting yourself as tan authority on the matter, is a terrible way to start a discussion

Your opinion is valid regardless of where you come from or what you’ve done.

I want to say that I just do not understand why upcoming changes to the crafting system are so wildly criticized.

Na, you did just oppose yourself to what the majority thinks :joy:

The way you put things was ultimately going to lead to confrontation :l

  1. Well, Nerf comes in all sorts of ways, so…
  2. My hope for this is that when a patch comes out that affects 1-2 of your blessings, you would be given some sort of “reset”.
  3. Yes, you’re right there, I have reagents like s*it behind the bathhouse. But what about new players? I don’t think they’re stocked up there. Although, they said they would increase the frequency of resources, we’ll see.

As far as I’m concerned Fat Shark should be adjusting the totals of everyone’s materials after adjusting their drop rate. After they increase it by % X they should multiply everyone’s current reserves by the same amount.

I don’t know, man. Personally, I definitely wouldn’t do that. Let people keep the grind going, haha.

Remember we dont even know how they are going to price all the crafting yet lol.

Want to bet on how expensive its going to be to save a blessing for future use? I bet you its expensive
