Unable to install the title on Steam

The user is unable to install the title on Steam after the latest CL was released, the title is stuck in Starting Download.
Please note that the download speed oscillates between 0 and 140kb/s for a brief second.

The issue does not occur with any other game from the library.

I have followed the steps provided by Fatshark when it comes to installation problems, yet the issue still persists.

Hi Pociumba, how much space do you have remaining on the drive you’re attempting to install on to?

Hello, Julia. I have 812 gb available space, also the drive is an SSD.

I recommend quitting any downloads in progress and initiating ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ via Steam. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes - eventually, it should pick back up.

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

I couldn’t possibly do that since the game was not installed. Basically it had no files present in my computer.
But alas, after 4 computer restarts and at least 8 Steam restarts, the game finally started the download.

Oops, my bad! :sweat_smile: I’m very pleased to hear the issue has resolved on its own, the downloader can be a little temperamental.
