I think the most important feature of the UI mod is the possibility to place certain icons in the center. This could be achieved in the game as well. The method would be favoriting talents in the menu. When a skill is favorited, its icon appears in the middle in the same position when fully charging a bolt as Sienna.
It is very important to know the duration of some talents and their expiration. Just an example: the necro’s curse of the undeath (damage reduction). Icons on the left corner aren’t enough for the vital info. Most of them are unimportant, and the important ones are lost among the rest.
This way the player could decide if they want it or not, favoriting is a mechanic that can be implemented on consoles I guess. And the game would store the setting regardless if we use the talent in our current build or not.
