I want to use grenades for moments where it counts and the idea of a passive triggering 10% is so unattractively ineffective for moments like that. If it was guaranteed to happen but on a long cooldown it would actually be a useful passive!
Could be activated by holding the “throw grenade” button for an extended time.
Character would pull out a 2nd grenade and hold 2 at once, then throw them at the same time.
Good idea, that 10% chance is worthless. Triggers at random and will trigger statistically somewhere between 2-3 times per map.
IMHO generally speaking Veteran is outshined by other classes in his every possible role currently, so that poor talent is quite symptomatic to the more underlying issues.
I definitely get that vibe from some passives on vet. I wonder if it was the last class tree made and was rushed to meet a deadline.
Iam not sure if I ever needed two at the same time with Frags. If I need two, then one after another for the stagger, to pick someone up, or play with one of Hadron’s Gameboy. Two Kraks at one time could be nice against Monsters, I guess. Maybe against a cluster of Bulwarks, if they dont home in on the same one.
(We dont talk about Smoke grenades.)
Needing two grenades at a time in general is a situational thing. Having that happen randomly is useless.
Agreed. I looked at that “10% chance” and immediately knew that I’d never ever use it, even if I went for some silly grenadier build.
