Tutorial Toughness needs to be reworked to reflect reality

In the tutorial you are asked to take toughness and health damage.
Upon running to the heretic guardsmen and allowing him to bayonet stab you Toughness completely absorbs the Melee damage. In actual gameplay however, this is not the case.
Please revert toughness chip damage, or update the tutorial to properly reflect this.

Or, better yet- reality needs to be reworked to reflect the tutorial

Don’t even suggest changing the tutorial to fit the game; nothing short of a revert to how toughness originally worked would be acceptable.

Reality should fit the tutorial. Remove chip.

True, it is extremely misleading to new players completing to the tutorial and going out there in the “real” world. lol

Other way around, toughness needs to have the chip damage feature removed becuase its effecting other parts of the game.

Chip damage on melee is effecting the way you interact with things in the game, example being, when you take damage purely on your toughness, you are not interrupted from performing an action. Things like hacking, picking someone up, carrying a crate, all of those things you can do so long as you are not taking health damage.

BUT the moment you take health damage you are interrupted, this is why things like rezing are so difficult right now. Originally you could take a melee hit on your toughness and keep picking someone up, but because of the chip damage system taking any hit in melee not at full toughness even at 99% you are interrupted, which as you know makes things misreable.

You can even test this your self on any mission were you have to use the data interrogator you can get shot while repairing it but taking a single melee hit will interrupt you.

This alone is a major reason why the change needs to be reverted, its effecting other parts of the game.

Well the designers are always going to be one step ahead of the localization and voice clip overhauls that would need to take place to reflect their changes.

But this is such an unpopular change I hope they revisit it. Incoming damage is such a headache calculation.
