I hereby suggest turning plasteel and diamantine from mission pickups into normal mission rewards, that get awarded on completion.
People doubling the amount of time a run would normally take, by following this stupid fixation, of having to run into every corner the map has to offer, is getting very old.
I can already hear the crowd:
“Why don’t you just talk to your teammates then?”
As a matter of fact I do, but if 85% of players have this dumb compulsion and always end up being the majority, there is only so much you can do. Furthermore having to state this at the beginning of every mission is an absurd thing to ask of a player.
Furthermore now that these only get awarded on completion, it is reasonable to increase the amount you get I guess, but that’s beside the point
I personally like the guardsman vibe of stealing everything that isn’t nailed down, it gives you something extra to find apart from medkits and ammo pack you are searching for anyway.
Realistically it only increases playtime a little while it increases end rewards drastically. Maybe your experience is different but for me

This … They should implement a additional option to “disassemble” weapons by hadron, grand a specific amount of plasteel + diamentine depending on the rarity of the disassembled weapon … I bunkered so many “Anointed” to “Transcendent” weapons with blessings on it that I already own in the hope FS will implement such a feature someday…
I mentioned it month ago that you should get back crafting materials from disassembling Weapons with Blessings. The fact you waste so much materials through rng to brick a lot of weapons it would be nice (like in so many other games standard) to get materials back.
i still don´t understand why FS needs to “reinvent” some systems in a evidentially bad way.
The thing with finding materials is ok, especially when you go alone and the game decides to send you some disablers for that
