You increased the amount of plasteel in damnation and heresy. That is great however it still is not enough and it’s causing the game to be extremely grindy and tedious.
We’ve been told that the best way to get tier 4 blessings is should upgrade weapons to them Max rarity. This means that we need over 1600 plasteel per weapon. Collecting the materials during missions is not good enough. Unless everyone on the team is searching around you may not get enough each mission.
This makes crafting feel painful and unfun. Spending too much time gathering enough plasteel for a single weapon only to have the final blessing be low tier is completely unsatisfying.
We need more ways to acquire plasteel. Let us break down weapons like in Vermintide. Let us purchase it with ordo Dockets. Allow monstrosities to drop bonus 100 materials.
I want to like your game Fatshark but these systems you have designed are incredibly ANTI-FUN. You need to make things less grindy.
You pointed the problem… the players rush cause they think they have to chain missions to get more and more plasteel.
I tried one time to follow one group and not trying to check chests… in damnation.
We had 200 plasteels.
When I search for all plasteel we get 740 to 800. It takes 5 - 8 more minutes. But players don’t want to wait, they just try to rush and leave 50% to 80% of the resources.
When they will understand that it is more effective to check all chests of a map instead of trying to rush… then everybody will see that there is enough materials now.
In one game I have seen someone saying I was not following and was not enough fast… but at the end he was suprised by how much plasteel we had… he did not make the link between the two (and all risks you take by doing so).
Off course, when you ask people to search… well I guess you know the answer.
Precision: I try to search as fast as I can and come back to the group for all combats… and this is really a difficult exercice.
My damnation runs net me 700+ plasteel usually even if its just me who is scavenging for loot. And in my opinion current resource values is more then enough.
One of the maps on damnation is actually bugged i think its Excise Vault or something like that (desert area with daemon eye clearing in the end), that particular mission never nets me more then 250-300 XD
Yeah, i can feel you. The only way to farm plasteel is to play damn in low int. but is boring as hell. Furthermore the emperor gift is actually trash, i mean on damnation hi int. with 2 grim gave me a purple utogun, what the hell.
I’ve just started playing Damnation recently but from my limited experience, part of the problem is that unless you’re searching as a group, you extremely vulnerable to disablers if everyone is looking for plasteel, or even taling unnecessary damage. While going in groups of 2 helps, I played a couple of games where 2 people would run off and both either get netted or dogged. You can say skill issue and thats true, but as a solo player it can be annoying when you waste ammo, health, or even lose the whole run because people are searching in isolated places for mats (not saying they’re wrong for doing this, and I’ve gotten disabled for doing the same, just an observation).
Yeah only playing Damnation give good plasteal results… like 400-700 per run normally if you look for drops + the mission success accomplish reward. Sometimes i get like almost 800 after those just to upgrade another item from purple to to M-Crafted… But it’s usually a bit short after one & most of times you nead to do 2 runs[for the upgrade & if its good blessings then you nead some for rolling perks most of the time or change in one blessing for other].
After the update I must say I almost never play lover level as it is just losing time for what you get with exception for going for missions with grims/books or assassination for fast monster kills.
& I dont have usually much time to play [excluding weekends if I don’t go to work] & with 4x lv30 characters I go for prioritization of time I nead to spend for results that I get. Or just I do 2 characters & skip rest… like they dont exist when i just feel like it or I am to busy in that week.
