Performance
Issue Description (Required):
Running on an RTX 3070, i7-10700, 32 GB RAM, and NVMe SSD, yet it still somehow doesn’t feel enough to play this game smoothly.
I’m about to reach 1500 hours of total playtime, and I still have no idea what keeps killing the game’s performance every ~200 hours or so. I’ve been playing for the last couple of months with relatively few issues (not perfectly smooth, but acceptable), and lately the stutters started creeping in again. It’s gotten to the point where every horde drops my FPS by around 10-15 from the average, and for some reason, in this game, even losing 5 FPS makes everything feel clunky and unresponsive.
I’ve gone through all the usual steps again: changed worker threads from the previously recommended to me 6 to 13, then back to 6, then back to 13 again; switched between DX11 and DX12 multiple times; turned DLSS on - no improvement. Lowering some graphical settings also doesn’t help.
At this point, I’m just tired of constantly fighting stutters in this game. And yes, I already know what the first response will be - that same troubleshooting guide with all the steps I’ve followed dozens of times. This post isn’t even a request for help anymore, it’s more like a heads-up.
Something happens to this game every once in a while that completely kills performance. The only “fix” is to go through the entire checklist again - clean reinstall the game, clean reinstall GPU drivers, reset all the configs - and maybe, just maybe, it helps.
It really sucks
