It didnt bug so much as it just functions in a extremely shitty way…similar still though.
If you hold down the little dot on the video bar and move it to see what happens screen by screen you can see how it loses the red highlight partway through the ability animation. The ability is simply ridiculously quick to switch or lose the highlighted target, a process seems to have started the moment you tried to “flick” your aim up a bit and aim over the monk.
But, that is something most people playing waystalker do to avoid bodyshotting nearby enemies…which just highlights how stupid it is that it works as it does x)
