No, I’m not joking. I know WP and Slayer are good picks on their own, but I shouldn’t have to explain why 3 melee-only classes is a terrible idea in a game mode where killing specials is more important than ever. Especially when the Slayer for some reason decides to not even take throwing axes. Picking GK is basically throwing as it is, going triple melee is just profoundly moronic.
2 players pick a melee-only career, and the 3rd follows suit? Ban the 3rd from VS. At this point I wouldn’t be opposed to just outright banning people who pick GK from VS, either.
Major focus on Melee Tank builds actually opens the hero team up to a number of strategies.
Most notable Ratling Gunner and Globadier spam. Yes, they can block. Doesn’t matter, stamina is limited. Use 2 gunners to pin heroes down and drop the globes around them to deal the main damage.
Works quite efficiently if you just get 1 other rattie to work with you.
Flamers can also keep enemies at a distance efficiently.
The real problem in my opinion is hitscan weapons. The dwarven rifle is one of the few things OP. Some talents are also very strong, mostly everything that is a “get out of jail” card.

We won ours though. Even through the swearing of our lvl 10 waystalker, which started with “you are idiots” and finished with “how are you doing this?”
They weren’t too bad, not everyone has the coordination of an orange banner fixed premade (luckily).
My point is: the goal should be having fun, not having 100% win rate.
Only when you are 4 stack of yellow rank guys against team of noobs.
In reality i cant even play solo Q as WP because randoms are so awful at killing specials.
