Trapper

Maybe I’m a VT2 noob but I find the trapper way easier to dodge since it’s a projectile. Also being hauled away quite a distance from your team and hoisted up on the rat hook was more punishing than being trapped in place, although it does really suck when crushers take it personally and womp you in situ.

Also this is absolutely a substitute for better dodge – same distance but wayy more reliable. If anything the dodge should be worse now (please don’t make it worse now) :grin:

Im usually on the watch out for teammates being netted as soon as I hear the Trapper spawn and especially so when I hear a net go off.

The worst feeling is when you keep freeing netted puggers only to have them leave you netted for ages (or sometimes permanently) if you get caught out just once. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

In some twisted way - It is almost as if designed to prevent people running off ahead or taking deviations from the team.

1 sec - That is all it takes to free someone. Only revive you might have to think for a sec more.

When surrounded by horde make sure there is an empty angle for dodge space, always.

NA/EU randoms, very slow. On HK server - Chinese players have superhuman reflexes. <1 sec untrap guaranteed.

Yes, yes it is. It’s one of the most infuriating things about solo pugging, you free from and prevent disablers from getting your teammates, then the one or two times you eat a stray net or dog and you may as well open a browser window and watch a YT short documentary on the Norse gods.

To my earlier points about ppl not paying attention…yeah.

Fairly logical argument here and a good compromise. Besides, why would enemies waste time beating a netted player into the ground when there’s 3 other superpowered freaks running free and cutting their allies down?

Probably the easiest “fix” too as I imagine fixing all the other elements like spawn/audio is a mammoth task or even impossible due to engine limitations (given that it’s not been fixed all this time).

or maybe, say 3 trappers shoot their nets shortly behind building an undodgeable wall, the first one is the “real deal” the follow ups inside the same cone are duds.

now if they dont overlap i see no foul just an array of proper projecticles but as said, being in-slide not able to change direction and getting sucker-netted by bitch2/3 feels getting fkked over rather than a reflex check.

Exactly this. You’re freeing one dude after the other, but when you’re trapped yourself, you’re screwed.

Some people are so oblivious to whatever else is happening in the game, it’s like they’re in the same map just by accident.

They’re the ones complaining about sound cues when my game has them prety much 24/7 in a horde. Oh how the other half live, right

well, we unlocked new hardmode “vasily” just recently :smile: so maybe the real adventure was the morons we met along the way :heart_eyes:

I feel like you answered your own question…

Do I:

  1. Charge at the Emperor imbued freak literally slicing my comrades in half
    or
  2. Beat the freak who is defenseless on the ground to death

Hard choice really.
