I think they tried to make the veteran a support class with large single target damage but the other classes are so effective at close to mid range that by the time the veteran would have an advantage everyone else is slicing and dicing. Definitely needs some adjustments.
Gunpsyker is an objectively better Veteran than Veteran now. The only role for Veteran is Boltgun. MAYBE Heavy Infantry Las, but I doubt it.
The new Gunpsyker makes Damnation feel like Heresy. Itās so damaging and tanky.
The Veteran class was absolutely destroyed.

Apart from Lasgun being omega buffed I let you know that Plasma the iconic single target removal ranged weapon is weaker than before.
You have to go to the bottom of the left tree and take all the Ogryn/elite nodes to get something near the efficiency it had before (and only in volley fire), and it still has less ammo and worse ammo eco than it had before. The least ammo-efficient weapon in the game to begin with. No bigger They Are Also mean no refresh on ogryns, and no instant reload just means I canāt run my lazy no manual reload build (not that you can actually pick up the nade regen if you want in in any place as before).
The vet basically got overlooked.

I am sorry, what is happening here? Veteran was the most boring and the strongest class by a mile. Now it is the most boring class and only the strongest by half a mile. Would you guys like a button that wins the mission foir you instead?

Vet was one of if not the toughest class.
What glass? Just because you built vet wrong that doesnāt mean vet was squishy(having highest amount of toughness, toughness regen on melee kill by % of total as well, and one of if not the best melee weapon helps).
Vet never even needed ranged damage resist on ult, because vet could get toughness back by killing elitesā¦etc. I know because I barely even used ranged weapon unless itās for dumping boltgun x2(instant reload on ult) on monsters.

You can fault FS for that, because as far as I can tell they have once again done ācommunity testingā by only testing with so called content creators. That is, and always will be, a uniquely bad idea. Itās what you do if youāre trying to get free PR and goodwill among youtubers, itās not what you do if you want actual useful feedback that is relevant to regular players.

They pulled the same behavior in V1 - allowing their decisions to be delegated by a minority of āeliteā players.

It seems people trying to build bolter magdumper with right branch again, it doesnāt work (good) and they cry. Mg12 is buffed hard and central branch is very strong.
Central branch is strong af, there are almost S tier nodes only - cd reduction, toughness farm, rend (was buffed in this patch), raw damage, elite damage.
There are great nodes for any automatic weapon including accatran recon in vet skill tree too.
Since rend applies to any armor type and adds more damage now.
Complete trash nodes only these maybe, cause good luck being not around enemies in a horde game.
Vet is fairly balanced (maybe they should move some nodes around branches).
Itās just rest of the classes are absurdly broken op, abilities are both strong and have fast cd. Game is a joke now.
