I think they overtuned some things, but hey I was stirring trouble before by asking for some serious buffs to specific talents and shockingly some where implemented. I don’t want to stir up more controversy bu rifles should be removed from psyker gear all together. Stop pretending to be a poors man veteran you all.
I had only ever seen one T2 slaughterer across countless upgraded swords. Upgraded a whole bunch of Illsi and never got it… then yesterday my very first Deimos I upgraded to orange rolled with T4… and today Melk has an obscuro with T4 slaughterer… So 4 monts of nothing, then twice in one day. The RNG really just sucks hard. But yeah, the buffs are good.
In terms of damage outpuit, the psyker should be “overtuned” compared to other classes, that’s what “glass cannon” means.
They have to have some advantage for being the class that just dies so quickly the moment you do something wrong, having a DPS edge gives you the tools to work with and makes it very rewarding to play, it’s a high risk / high reward class, the way it always should have been.
To be honest - most of the vets players are so bad with guns, that average psyker player outscores them 2:1 without even trying. Stop pretending to be ranged class and leave it to real ranged class (and real melee class as well)
Yeah yeah… good poeple can rely on stats and easy peril-management now instead of getting actually better at the game. Psyker is overbuffed… plays like Vet 2.0 now. Absolutely unneccessary to break any form of skill-ceiling and to let poeple compete with heresy / damnation who don´t even know melee-basics.
Something-something elitism. I don’t understand why you complaining? Bad players sneaking into difficulty modes that they not belong - provide extra challenge, which is good. And “skill celling” - it have no meaning in the Non-competitive game. Only thing that have meaning - is Fun. And it’s different for everyone.
This has nothing to do with elitism if anything gets overbuffed and the game itself doesn´t force much out of the players.
We´ve 5 difficulties to go through and the last two should NEED game-knowledge and skill. But this is not the case with all the buffs. Psyker was fine before and now it´s on the level of Vet in kind of simplification.
If anything it´s egoism to be like “buff please, buff please”, instead of trying to get better at the game or to stay at a difficulty that suits everone himself.
EDIT: PVE games are a no-brainer and pretty fast super boring without some skill-ceiling and challenge involved.
Yeah Psyker was fine before , and required extra effort to play. And now he have more options. I don’t see any problem with buffing classes, and even over-buffing class or even game-breaking classes. Problem is player who think that it’s a problem in Non competitive game, and who thinks that Everyone must have only their kind of Fun and no other is allowed.
It doesn´t matter if a game is competitive or not, balance is needed and again, overbuffing stuff will make the game boring and stale pretty fast. Tell me any game which is fun in long terms where you play a super broken hero, there is none. It´s like using cheats to be “hehe cool” for some hours, but poeple will mention pretty fast, that this is not enjoyable for a longer duration.
So it´s good to crap the fun for those who enjoy getting better and pass a challenge together with the team, but it´s not ok if poeple would either have to get used to the gameplay or need to stay on a comfortable difficulty to have their sort of fun?
