Tigrus Mk III Heavy Eviscerator's attack chain

The Mk III Heavy Eviscerator’s Heavy 2 → Light 3 attack chain makes it inconvenient to eliminate Specials and Elites within a horde. Additionally, having to block-cancel during an attack chain causes unnecessary control fatigue.
Please change ‘Heavy 2 → Light 3’ to ‘Heavy 2 → Light 1’.

Generally speaking, the Mk15 is easier to use and has higher spike damage, the MK3 is much harder to use but has higher consistent DPS. I’m not against making the MK3 easier to use (or buffing the evisc to relic blade levels because rule of cool) but it’s not in a bad spot.

Mk3 has better lights that can stagger dreg ragers out of their combo with the right talents, but misses a bunch of breakpoints with revved heavy.

Having used both quite a bit, the Mk15 always feels more powerful and actually kills enemies more reliably, but has such a boring and braindead move set that I find myself gravitating back to the Mk3 anyway. I do wish the Mk3 was better at hitting breakpoints, as it’s always sad to see enemies easily surviving what would have been fatal strikes with the Mk15. I appreciate the Mk3’s speed, but it often feels fairly anemic compared to the Mk15.

It seems like the Mk15 has gotten much more attention from the devs over the last few years, and I can’t shake the feeling that they just added it to be the “better eviscerator”.

I agree the Mk III moveset is more fun to play. Right now, I feel like its only niche is with Perfect Strike since it doesn’t have the cleave cap like the Mk XV does. Mk III damage should probably be made comparable to the Mk XV and just let the main difference be the moveset.

I think this would be a reasonable change, although I’d say maybe do H2 → L4 instead. That would give it a single-target combo similar to the Devil’s Claw Mk VII: L1 → H2 → (L4 → L1 → H2 → repeat). Given the slower attack speed of the eviscerator, having 2 lights in the combo probably feels better than just alternating lights and heavies. It takes a little more practice to learn, which could be a positive or negative depending on how much you like attack combos.

Having only sweep attacks on both light and heavy after the heavy strikedown definitely feels awkward though, so some kind of change would be nice.

I don’t understand complains about Evis myself. MK III has been one my fav weapons on zealot, and it feels absolutely fine in Havoc too, in fact with a right build it’s a monster. Relic blade just got people used to being able to cleave the world and not care about anything. That crowd can always use Shred + Perfect Strike. Not everything has to be so easy to use as relic blades.

there’s also this whole silliness. lot of the time it isn’t even worth it to pull the eviscerator strikedown out, its just the same attack with like 10% more weakspot damage but 0.01 cleave. look at that carapace damage difference, you could measure it with a microscope. this is like ogryn weapon balance where the move profile doesn’t matter. I could understand not wanting the grabbing out of a crowd thing to be unappealing, but the strikedown should have some more oomf to pull out. for carapace/unyielding where you don’t even need this feature, it should be the go to attack.

but yeah +1 to replacing the combo return of H2, and buffing it.

FS made this change for the Chainswords a while back but apparently forgot the Evis MK3 exists and has the same problem.
