And considering that V2 finally got to a good place but it took forever, then they went and made Darktide completely forgetting everything that worked well in V2, it just seemed really moronic and frankly annoying.
I see it like redesigning the wheel over and over and eventually saying “Well the wheel actually works when it’s round, like how we had it before.”
But yes I’ve been hammering out all weeklies on every character with the goal of saving enough to hammer out a ton of curios; someone else posted that worked for them so I’m hoping it will for me.
I don’t work well when it comes to false randomness as it requires an unknown amount of numbers to combat it. Since I classically always roll towards the fail end of the spectrum it makes me feel like I’m fighting a bottomless pit.
So it’s not fun. Aren’t games supposed to be fun?

I hear you. I came from VT2 and started with the beta of DT. The self-flagellation is real.
For me, the extension helped because I’d just look at it every hour or so and hop on if the curio I wanted was for sale. I got things pretty quick that way and I didn’t have to grind things to get them. Just reload a web page every so often. Yesterday my 2nd TN17 for Arbites showed up in Melks so I hopped on and grabbed it.

Yeah, the RNG is completely absurd for Curios & it literally whips out most of your bucks, the weeklies aren’t enough to replenish that, IMO. We need to start getting Melk bucks as a new reward for special events as well, because this is getting ridiculous. I feel that people need Melk bucks more than the other materials, honestly. Either that or maybe get rid of the RNG system, just like with gambling for weapons for the upgrades. It’s very doable! But I’m willing to bet it will not happen. You know what’s pretty wild? Even after 4.1k games, I’ve only seen like maybe 10, 410+ curios, not even joking either & maybe about 5, 430 curios, lol. Some get luckier than others for sure.
